I already wrote a post (probably under another interest) about how my 10 year old grandson helped save one of Silka´s puppies when she has her first litter of puppies. She has learned to be a mother since and the 3 puppies are getting more beautiful each day. I´m enclosing a picture of the happy family. What do you think of it?

Silka wasn´t very sure about how to have the puppies but fortunatly she had help. As for the rest, she learned how to be a good mother and as they were only 3 puppies, she will not get too thin.

In my country it is used that the owner of the father dog has a fist pick at one of the puppies. I hope Diego can keep the puppy he saved although my daughter does not have much more room at her house.

Those puppies are so cute and I'm sure it will be fun to sleep with them under the blanket at the cold winter nights. It is recomended to play with the dogs a lot and encourage them to run and play. I hope those dogs are really smart as we all know from the story about the famous colie dog named laki (or maybe it sounds like lucky). Good luck with raising the dogs and find them a happy house that the owners can treat them right and take them for many walks and play with them all day long.

We are in Spring in my country now so the puppies will be able to play outside a lot. I hope that my daughter can keep the puppy my grandson saved, although it will be difficult as there´s not much space.

Beautiful babies!! Thanks for sharing a photo of the happy family! I´ve had kittens a couple of times and they are so adorable too. It is a great time when your pets have babies. Wonderful to see them grow up.. Enjoy them - they grow so fast!!..

Thanks. I made a post when they were born, because my grandson saved the first puppy and I was very proud. But my daughter sent me pictures only this weekend. Of course I had to share the pictures.

Oh, thank you for sharing! I adore Collies. If the opportunity ever came for me to add one to my family, I'd do so in a flash! Actually, Silka looks tired, as all mothers of young ones do. I'm glad that she learned how to be a good momma to her pups. They look plump and very well cared for. I'd be so proud, too, if they were mine.

What a beautiful thing to see! A mother doggie taking care of her babies…They are so beautiful, I’m so glad you posted the photo! Your grandson is a little hero, he has done so well. I am pleased to hear that mother and babies are doing well. Are you planning to keep any of the puppies?

I wish I could keep one of them as my last dog got out and got lost. I never commented on that here because it was too painful. But now that I´m on my chemo I don´t feel I should be taking care of a living thing. I don´t yet know if my daughter will keep the puppy Diego saved. She´s thinking about it as she doesn´t have much room left at her house. I just made another post with Diego´s puppy. The picture is awesome.

Silka is a collie and the father is also a collie. She has learned to care for her puppies but she had no idea what to do when they were being born. Thanks be given that my daughter was there.

Those cute little puppies cuddled alongside Silka are such wonderful sight. They are so blissfully asleep it gives the mother also seems to be enjoying the relaxation. It may be even more delightful to watch those little ones playful when they are awake. I had to comment on the photos as well! Congratulations to the new addition! Thanks for sharing.

I suppose children will not be afraid of dogs if they have them while they are puppies. Big dogs are scary for some children though.

What a lovely picture...dear Silka capturing a much needed rest, and so serene! Collies, have and will always have a special place in my heart...my VERY first dog, "Nipper" was a rather large purebred Collie (not that we could afford a pure-bred)...it was a re-gift, and I so loved him! They are such dedicated dogs..and so gentle of spirit! I am surprised you were able to post this discussion...this site was down for nearly 24 hours..for me! Was having withdrawals! Thinking of you each day...even now that it is late fall...I have ONE beautiful flower that keeps blooming..a "Malva"..in the summer, it blooms a light to deep mauve...but in the fall..it blooms a dark purple! Reminds me of you...At all odds you keep blooming! BIG Hugz!

You are always saying so many nice things about me that I have to live up to that. I know the malvas although I don´t have them in my garden. Talking about gardens, I mowed the lawn myself yesterday without help. I was very proud of myself! I did not feel tired then but today I slept almost all day. I just made another post about the puppy diego saved. My daughter sent me an awesome picture of him wide awake and I placed it with the discussion.

You, dear heart....have nothing to live up to for me! I am sooooo totally impressed that you mustered up the energy to cut your lawn, a lot of work, heavy work, that you have not been able to do, for some time! Are your muscles sore? No doubt, you were played out. There is something very self-satisfying about accomplishing something like this! Impressed, I am! Will have a "boo" at the other pic! I have so many pages of notifications, that I am weeding thru them..as they are presented! I am absolutely thrilled the notifications are back...but DANG, this morning the site slowed down to a snail's pace again! A sparkling day to you, dear Lady!

They are cute! I'm sure by now that they are running around and eating a lot and getting pretty close to being old enough to go to new homes. Are you planning on adopting one of them? It might be nice to have a companion there. Have a great weekend!!!

Beautiful shot of your grandfurbabies. Silka looks like a collie, was she full blooded?
