I was having severe itching problem all over body, i also have pain in soles of feet, palms, I have burning sensation there, but this itching all over body was unbearable, so i have come here Bhubaneswar for investigation and detailed check up..
I am staying in house of Prof Jena, my brother , who is retired now, is with me, we have contacted the best neuro specialist , initial investgation is tomorrow folled by CT scan etc later, I may be here for few days..
I saw a discussion started by Ann (tigeraunt) about this, and responses by friends there, i am greatful to her and all friends who responded.

Hi Professor, hope you will get well soon. As long the specialist is doing many types of tests upon your condition, i am sure sooner or later, they will be able to find out the root of your problem. My mother is also a diabetic and so far, her specialist doctor able to detect her problem and helps her solve it very soon. Most important is, take good care about your food intake and take correct medication, i am sure your health problem will gradually improved. Do keep update about your condition in here.

The hospital i was admitted is a super speciality hospital for diabetes only, they did some 32 tests , as per dr, the Glynese MF tablets i took, controlled the blood sugar, but created this itch..
Now i am taking insulin shots 10 units daily, hope this will help.
They have assured cure but may take time.

Personally my friend, I will be Praying for you, and believing God for a solution to be found, and the itching Stop soon as well. I know there are times it could be something you ate, or an allergic reaction or just a change in your body with an infection somewhere, etc. but to have all of this happening to you all at once does not sound Fun at all. We all thought it was due to some food, as i have said, the hospital i was admitted is a super speciality hospital for diabetes only, they did some 32 tests , as per drs, the Glynese MF tablets i took, controlled the blood sugar, but created this itch..
Now i am taking insulin shots 10 units daily, hope this will help.

I'm quite sure the 10 units would make you feel well, very nice that you have a hospital there that specializes on diabetics only, they could concentrate better on the best regimen and treatment, again get well soon my friend

it is good to see this discussion now.
so many responded hence you see the people who loves you. the prayers are always there and we all hope for your fast recovery.
i am very happy that you have met some mylotters. you mentioned thesids have seen you at the train station and mitraa will help you retrieve the results of the series of tests re thyroid. the meetings may have been brief but i know you always appreciate them.

Just now i have talked to Mitraa, he will go to the hospital and get my T3, T4, Tsh report, show it to the doctor and FAX it to me.Yes I am proud to have so close friends. I got many of them in mylot and other sites.

My diabetic condition is coming through like crazy too! Right now it's dry skin, especially on my legs. No matter what I do it comes back right away. My mother was diabetic too. For her, she said eucerin cream would make it go away but she never had sore feet. I'm bracing myself!

During investigation, i was told the oral tablets kept sugar level controlled but created this itching problem, now advised shots of insulin daily, let me hope it works.

Itches and neurology?
I am really interested in this subject and hope you will let me/us know what they found out.
At this moment I am not doing well, been in bed for the biggest part of the day.
Had neuroligal tests in the past.. but I never made the link between that and the never ending itching, burnings and skin infections.
I hope this will turn out well for you and keep my fingers crossed.

My father was diagnosed as diabetic in recent years. He has had the itching problem too. He was not on insulin until recently, but they keep saying different things about the itching, like "allergies" or infected hair follicles. I do not think they know what they are talking about. Keep us posted as you learn new things.

For blood sugar control i was taking Glynese MF tablets, but here the doctors said, these tablets though controlled my blood sugar, created other complicacations, i have been advised insulin injections 10 units prior to breakfast and supper.

I hope you are meeting the best doctor around who is able to diagnose your health issues and dispense the right medications for you. Maybe you can ask your doctor about this dietary supplement - spirulina that my mother has been taking and has shown a lot of improvements in her.

I am anxious about your health condition. I have no idea about the medical facilities available in Bhubaneswar but as you are the citizen of the state certainly you have full information and you will get proper treatment and will be cured. It seems to me that the session will take time. But we hope proper treatment will give you remedy and cure the disease.
