My one close friend is dying . He is a cancer patient. He is not able to take chemo. Because he got heart attack after his first chemo. He himself a doctor. But at this moment he is helpless. Yesterday I visited him at the hospital. Her only daughter was standing by the side of his bed. She said her father only taking liquid food. My friend was in sound health. Now he is skeleton like. I controlled my tears and smiled at him. When I was leaving the hospital cabin he looked at me with dumb eyes. I have nothing to do, only I can pray for him. We all have to embrace death. But why with so pain..!

She is an unfortunate lady. Few years ago she lost her only son. The boy drowned in a pond when they went to village home to enjoy vacation. She is also suffering from various diseases. So everyday she can not go to the hospital.

I, too, have lost loved ones is such a way. I just pray that they are taken quickly, so that they no longer suffer. It is hard to see but it's part of our life plan, to suffer the loss, and learn from it, so we must just grieve, how we can, be there for their family, who need strength, and deal with the best way that we can. Most of all, use it as a lesson... that life can be taken from us, quickly, so we must treasure each day and each person in it. My condolences to you and your friend's family and loved ones.

Hello bhanusb, Sorry to hear about your friend.Today medical facility is so developed as it was way back before 20 years yet we still have not found the treatment for cancer.Few months ago my friend lost his father due to cancer after getting around 2 chemos in one of the biggest hospital - APOLO but still could not survived for much time. This is really strange that though we all have to die someday but some people die with lots of pain. I understand its hard to see your friend dying in front of your eyes and finding yourself helpless.Pray God for your friend thats whats the only thing we can do for him.

I'm sorry about your friend. Upon reading your discussion I can't control my eyes. My eyes turns teary. As of now, all we can do is to pray for him. Be strong. If I'm in your situation I would probably left the hospital crying. Even if I don't know him personally, I really felt sorrow thinking of your discussion. I can't help my tears from falling. Tell your friend to be strong. Show him that you really cared for him before he leave this world.

This is life. Don't be too helpless about it. Even a doctor has no 100 percent successful method to cure cancer. What can we, the layman do? What you can do for your friend is to make sure that when he really leaves, he leaves in peace. Maybe you can promise him to look out for his family. I believe that is his hope at the moment.
