The untouchable tail!

I was cuddling cats before I went to sleep last night.
Well, mostly I was cuddling Ping, since he's such an "in your face" cat.
But other cats were up and down for pets and cuddles.
Oliver came up, Ping glared him away and he went over and stared at Mo. I scolded him for threatening Mo, and he finally went and lay down. He crossed his front paws and squeezed his eyes at me. (He's really good at this pose.)
Now, Oliver is a happy, trusting cat, albeit a bit of a bully, and he lays with his tail straight out behind him.
This time it was stretched out along side Rygel. Now, Rygel is the big cat in my avatar, and he raised Oliver, the kitten in my avatar, but they are long past that stage, tho they are still friends.
So, Rygel leaned over and started grooming Oliver's big, fluffy tail.
Oliver turned and glared at him.
Rygel blinked and paused.
Oliver looked away and he started again.
This happened several times before Oliver started to go after him, then Rygel finally quit.
But it was funny... I mean... Oliver COULD'VE pulled that tail in, but NOOOOO!!!!!

Sounds like your cats are really a trip. Lot's of fun too! I spent the night at my daughter's last night like I always do on Tuesdays, and she has two cats. One of them is so easy going a layed back. The other one is two, most of the time, but when I go to bed at night that cat drives me nuts. She comes up and pushes her head against my head as hard as she can. I pet her for a little and then I get comfortable. Just when I am dosing off or have dosed off, she bites the end of my finger and I scream! I can't help it. It hurts! It's funny tho!

Haha! Love it! Flojo appeared on my pillow last night (she's not done that for a while) and it was nice to have her there, even though my head ends up on the corner of the pillow as she makes sure she has the rest of it to herself..as cats do!
At Mum's I really should've taken some photos of Ellie and Soxx because Mum has bought a wool-mix rug and two furry cushions for them. Ellie will lie on one of the furry cushions on the rug, in front of the fire but Soxx isn't interested in the cushions and lies on the rug next to Ellie. I've bought two furry cushions for Flojo on the couch but she carries on lying on her cover. If she ever gets round to it I'll take photos.

awww, I wish I could have the occasional night off from the cats, but they always have to come in for their nightly cuddles...
I had gone in to put the roomie's drops in her eyes and she had 6 cats in her bed. About 4 followed me in there and when I left, they ALL left with me!

There seems to be some catattitude going on this week. I do not know if that means it is spring or what. Tiger, my old "decrepit" cat is bouncing and bounding and chasing. He bounced across the floor and hugged Creamery. They are fun to watch.

Cats are such sassy little things. They all have different personalities, but most of them have that "when I want it" streak. Sounds like Oliver is a big drama queen. It's adorable but I bet it gets old fast, and the other cats, poor things. One day I'm afraid they'll get him though and maybe then he'll change his kitty ways.

He normally isn't quite so odd about things, but his tummy and tail are his "no touch 'ems". Rygel looked quite surprised that Oliver didn't want his tail cleaned (he's not real good at keeping himself as clean as he could be... but there's a LOT of fur since he's long-haired...

You should write a book about your cats! You have some great stories about your cats! Lol! I would buy it!
Cats are so funny and do the darnest things! I would like a cat but I couldn't sleep with one around! I can't sleep with something bothering me! I would like the companionship,though!

Hello ElicBxn. I did not know that cats love to be cuddled till I have finished reading your interesting discussion about those cats of yours. To have cats as company seems to be a lot of fun. Cats are good companies to us humans. Enjoy yourself.

That is just too funny! I hope that Indie starts becoming a cuddler, but at least she does come up for pets as long as I don't try to hold her still. She does seem to be more comfortable around me now and will jump up on the chair while I am here at the computer, but for the most part she still prefers to stay away from me.

i guess he was in a "Dont bother me mood" most of us get that way at times. Animals all have personalities just like people. I dont know why a lot of people dont see that. but i see you do.

Mine used to do that a lot. Sometimes I think they do things, because they are trying to annoy the other cat. They know what bothers the other cats and they do it on purpose.
