Curd does have calcium and iron and Vitamin A. Now if they can just find a way to make it more flavorful it would be great.

In reality, Curd can be flavoured any way you which..and one of the common flavourings, I am sure you have heard of is "lemon curd"..and it is found in some delicate desserts..! Just spooning fruits over it is great, too! Have been worrying about you..and your family situation, dear friend! Sure hoping you are able to put your foot down..and find some peace for you!

Sounds good! i wish I knew of a place I could go to decompress and have some time to myself. Without that i am stressed and am hoping she is telling the truth when she says she is going into the Job corps and will be out of here in 3-6 months. Thanks for your concern.

You are right, in all your statements, sukumar...BUT you have NOT related to what Curd you are referring to..as there are many products that Curd is made from, including Beans! True curd...original curd was made from Buffalo milk! Realistically, if you read about "fermentation" or fermented foods...you will find, that the fermentation process is what gives the great health benefits..as it is that process that produces the benefits...not just what is fermented!

Gone are those days when I used to cherish my glass of chilled and sweetened LASSI. The onset of Diabetes has prevented me from tasting the delicacy..

Can you eat this if you can't eat milk?

My understanding of "curd"...is that it comes in different forms, as curd, realistically describes the manner of serving! Tofu...is bean curd...made from the soybean, which for most that are lactose intolerant should (operative word-should) be tolerant of! Cheers!

I have included it in my diet, formerly I never used to eat it. But now, on the wrong side of 50s, I feel I must add calcium somewhere..and curd it is. :)

I like cottage cheese which is what we call the food made of curds and whey. Usually we buy it ready made at the grocery store but sometimes in the past I have made my own. It is an interesting process. The best part of making it at home is that the commercial kind is too salty.

my grand niece and nieces love sweet curd. every morning a vendor passes by the house shouting "taho" and all the children get excited hearing his voice because they will get their share as grandmom likes to buy for each of them. and now, my younger sister is enjoying it as well. it is delivered hot and tasting it is really nice and creamy with matching "sago".
