I have to look at my keys on my keyboard to type. never learning to type in school or anything. anyway, just a few minutes ago, i was just typeing away like crazy and about half way thruogh the long reply, i looked up to see how i was doing and guess what???!! I was not typing a thing on my discussion. duh! I guess id not put my cursor on the window before starting. talk about enthusiasm have you ever done such a thing? its as bad as typeing a long one , hitting post and it not posting. also, isnt it early for payout? i noticed green lettering here today. lol. wish id made payout.

wow i dont feel so bad haha i do that a lot sometimes. i just type away and something pops up and it takes me away from the place i am typing in and then you look up and its not there. that gets annoying haha. you would think i would learn to pay attention more huh? i am new what does green lettering mean? just trying to know for when i do reach next month (hopefully with enough for a pay out)

HaHa, I think just about everyone has done this at one time or another. And I've already started typing not paying attention and had my fingers on the wrong keys..duh. I use to have my responses not take on myLot many times..now I just copy and paste before I hit the post reponse button just in case. It sure does help and I don't have to try to remember what the heck I wrote, lol! I don't know what the green lettering is. I'm too far behind yet to reach payout...maybe next month.

I have NO problem with the typing, as it was an "option" in school. What I have problems with (even tho' a friend here gave a tutorial) is copying and pasting (remember I still am a neophyte on the computer)...and I get so frustrated lately, as more of my responses have disappeared than being posted..and then I lose heart, frustrated and walk away from the site! I don't know what is going on, in my end of the world, BUT I am having so many problems with this site...I truly am losing heart, and it's my friends here that keep me going! Dang!

oh i know. if it wasnt for copy and paste, plus the good company here i probably wouldnt be addicted to it since i missed typing in school. may have been one of those grades i skipped.

I type by touch so I'm always looking at the screen. What gripes me is when I hit submit and then myLot gives me another reply screen--minus my reply!! I've learned to copy it before I hit submit then I won't lose it but sometimes I forget and it happens anyway. They use green lettering for payout day?! I never knew that!

yes but not that long. Most of the time i no longer look at the keyboard cause i already know or master the keys. My previous job requires fast typing speed so thats why. Anyway, what ive tried here is when my network logs and when i hit post discussion button, it would just load for a while and encounter an error so by then i lost everything i typed. So lesson learned, i always copy and paste what i typed.

I think people who made payout should just enjoy the early payout. It used to happen all of the time. I type okay, but on some sites I forget to get the cursor in the right place, like you said.

Oh yes, I've done that and more than once or twice too. It's so maddening and I feel such a fool. I have learned to type and I've been typing away here almost daily for 6 years but I still use two fingers and look at the keyboard rather than looking at the screen. I really wish I could type properly.

hi bunnybon I touch type as if I look I make even more errors than when I touch type which i learned when I was 16 in high school Oh I have done that and felt so silly as I thought I had typed a long lovely reply.what I hate is when I feel I have made a great response only to have it just disappear into the ionosphere.. I think the going back on daylight savings on the 11 might have made the admins make payout early this time.hope you make payout next time for sure.I wanted to make 25 dollars but only made 22.93 instead. sad but hey I will use it for sure.

I have done the latter. It is very frustrating! That is one reason it is a good idea to get into a practice of certain steps. If you are continuous and do this each time then you shouldn't have a problem. It's when we get to thinking about other things and not concentrating that we get into trouble.

Hi bunnybon7, Yes, this has happened to me before. I'm quite sure it has happened at one time or another to those who need to look at the keyboard when they type. It is a common mistake. Just need to be more careful I guess. I didn't realise that green lettering means payout day. Thanks for the info. Congrats to those who have made payouts!

I have done that before. But I am in the habit of looking up at the screen every once in a while. So I do catch myself. What I hate about when that happens is that everything that I had written already is forgotten when I find out about the mistake. It is frustrating as well.

Sorry for the chuckle, but I couldn’t help it. I touch type because I’ve typed since high school. I took 3 years of office practice in high school and then took 3 years of office work in college. My fingers automatically know I made a typo before I actually notice it on the screen. Sometimes I’m typing away while I’m watching the TV and my fingers will know when I hit the wrong key and I correct it without even looking at my screen.

Nope! I worked as a nurse and then after retirement I went to our local technical college but didn't finish due to not having a car anymore. I use my skills for writing.. I can type almost as fast as I can think so that is good for article writing.

I have done that before. It really makes me irratated at myself. Especially if it was long. I try to remember to check that at the beginning. Another thing is i need to keep checking for correction. because sometimes my finge is quicker than the eye. I also never learned to type. I mainly just use the two idex fingers of both hands. If i feel really bold i may use two on each hand. What ever i get the job done. I call it chicken pecking. LOL!!!

I haven't had that happen (yet), but I have 11 cats that like to get my attention by walking across the keyboard and the WORST times. Does that count?

i think it must have to do with a coordinance problem that i cant learn touch type without looking at the keys. sucks.

Most of the time I have to admit that I've not been typing away for nothing, but there are times that I will realize that what I'm saying is something that doesn't make any money for me. Now as far as payout goes, I didn't make mine in January so I was able to make it for February, but I still didn't get as much as I would have liked to have been able to make for the two months.
