Four generations present in my house

Today is mother’s day, it is not a Hindu festival, but we have many similar festivals. Incidentally today my mother in law, her daughter (my wife Kalyani) ; my only daughter Sunita, her only daughter Payal are in our home , doing some kind of puja here in presence of a pundit. It feels so good to see 4 generations together, it is not for the first time though. What about you, do you have such gathering too? How many generations? Do you observe mother’s day, how? Please share and comment on this. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 13/05/2012

Four generations of women - This is my mom, my daughter and my new granddaughter.
My daughter just had a daughter less than 2 weeks ago and my mom was at the hospital too. We had four generations of women there together. Unfortunately we can't all be together today but I willl go out to my daughter's house to see her and the baby.

We don't represent Mother's Day by having a get together or anything but we do get gifts and cards for one another. My daughter made me a card this year and shared her flowers that her boyfriend got her. We have had afew Four generational get togethers here since my great grandson was born nearly two years ago.

Last summer I had my daughter visiting and she brought her daughters. We also went on a trip to see my dad. I am not able to get pictures to load to discussions from this computer but I do have some.

Hullo Professor! How is your health now? Good to read what you have written. We always feel happy when our folks conduct such poojas at home. When our dear and near ones gather it is really nice. We don't celebrate Mother's Day but we do have such little pujas which normally precede some important functions in the house.

Oh wow! this is really wonderful. =) We did celebrate mother's day but, during our celebration we have only my brothers and my mom of course... we bought her some really good meal and saw that she is smiling and contented during the day... The more amazing thing really is that you have four generations at your home! he he

this is not a new celebration and this is being done every year to honor thy mothers who have patiently reared their children in this world. to my mom, i say, i love you so much and thank you. that way she understands how a daughter feels for having a very wonderful caring mom. every one has planned a party tonight to honor my mom. we wanted to surprise her. but then i am not sure anymore because we have been surprising her every mother's day. we use to bring food to her home, all 5 of us. me being the eldest. we also bring her gifts. it is a pleasant feeling to be there exchanging funny recollections and jokes around mom and seeing her smiling and laughing. i just feel nobody can buy that kind of happiness. i cooked lunch for my daughter and they were in my home and has bought me a cake. jose gave me fresh red roses, and thea made a mother's day card for me and yeng. even friends from far away have sent greetings like sms and emails and it feels wonderful.

Sweety So Jose is there too, i can imagine the great reunion, the feast and the celebration, i know your mom is more active than you, like kalyani's mom is more active then her. Convey my regards to her and Jose on this great occasion, also blessings and wishes to Jan, Yeng and Thea. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Professor

I am happy for you professor that you have a closely knit family, just as i do have too. Yes, we get to always gather together usually on birthdays. But i think it's always just on the third generation, since there are no grandchildren yet who are married. And when there is such gathering, we are all so happy about it.
