They brought the chairs in.. there are only three, but B is going to give us some chairs that go with her mother’s dining room table to get them out of storage. We will also get her dining room table that table will go down into the basement. I would love to make a game room down in the basement… there are 2 long clothes lines running the full length of the basement so if the drier ever goes kaput, we have two long clothes lines. The only bummer is that they don’t allow me to go down into the basement. I wanted to go down and see it, but they won’t let me because I have artificial knee implants and they are afraid I will fall down stairs. I won’t fall, but they won’t let me anyway.. I guess they are afraid for insurance reasons? B and J said absolutely not… they didn’t want me going down into the basement. Grrr. There is a railing to hold on to, so I don’t see the big deal… dang it. I want to see it. I would love to have a pool table down there or something one day if I could go down it. Your thoughts?

Yes, I imagine that it will be nice for you when the dining room, and all the rooms are set up to your satisfaction. Moving can be a chore, but it can also be exciting and if you're a creative person, somewhat fun to arrange things this way or that way. We moved about two months ago and we're still not done unpacking.

I hear ya! We didn't even get to unpack all of our clothes yet. I kept my clothes in my freezers but the winter clothes were packed and the closet clothes were packed. Some clothes may go to the good will.

It sounds like B and J are being pretty strict about where you can go and so forth. Insurance reasons, huh? I would hate to hear of your falling and stairs can be treacherous.I was going to say that having a clothes line is nice for delicates like lingeries and such. Keeps them nice longer.

Well it sounds like a sound rule. For good reasons.

I figured maybe they were afraid I'd sue them or something if I fell. I'd never do that. Then again maybe they were just conceded that I might get hurt. My daughter isn't allowed down there either unless she is with her hubby or with B or J.

If you are careful, you will not fall, but they may be afraid something would happen and they could not get you back up the stairs. You will work on hour health and agility and they will probably let you at some point.

Maybe so. I need to lose about 60 pounds. My spondylosis is so mad sometimes I can't even turn over in bed or get out of bed. I took a nap this afternoon and when I got up it took me about 5 minutes to maneuver myself out of bed.

I need to check my typing. I meant your health and agility. I need to lose that same 60 pounds. I know more than one young person with spondylosis. Actually they called the problem my great niece had "spondylolythesis" and for a while it had her paralyzed when she was a toddler. She just got "stuck" one day. She is nineteen now, and has bad back pain that comes and goes. Walking helps as much as anything. I have had things that caused me problems getting up and around and I know it is more than scary.

I really don't know what to say on this one, I think they do not feel you are physically capable and they don't want you to hurt your self or worse still kill yourself if you fall and end up with a concession or worse.

I wish they would allow you to see it too. Stairs is good exercise also. I understand that they do not want you to get hurt but still. I think they should let you try to enjoy it. I would love to have a basement for many reasons too. To escape from tornadoes for one and the extra room too and to get away from noise you hear otherwise by being upstairs.
