In the 26/11 attacks, 166 people were killed, when 10 men from Pakistan sailed into Mumbai. They spent 72 hours targeting the city's landmarks on the fateful day.
Laskar-e-Taiba terrorist Ajmal Kasab was hanged at Yerwada Jail in Pune at 7.30 am on Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil confirmed the news on Tuesday morning. President of India Pranab Mukherjee rejected the mercy plea filed by Ajmal Kasab, the dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist, who was sentenced to death for carrying out the November 26, 2008, terror attack on Mumbai.
The decision was made after the home ministry turned down Kasab's mercy petition on October 23 that had been sent to the President. Kasab, the only surviving terrorist of the 26/11 attacks, was lodged at Mumbai's Arthur Road prison since he was arrested and was shifted to Yerwada jail for the execution. On May 6, 2010, the Mumbai trial court had given the death sentence to Kasab, which was later upheld by the Bombay High Court on February 12 last year.
The apex court had rejected his appeal on August 29. The BJP had sought that the apex court's decision awarding the death sentence to Kasab should be carried out at the earliest.
Does ‘hanging by neck till death’ is the death penalty in your place?
Any other form of death penalty?
Do you belive in Almighty and the reward one gets for bad deeds?
Please respond and share your comments and opinions on this.

Namaskar sir
What a waste of our crores of Rupees which we pay as taxes. This had to be done the day he was arrested but it is really sad that the decsion and its execution took so long. And it is unfortunate that this terrorist got buried in Indian Soil. His body should have been trown in some territory from where he came or belonged.
we still have a few people in the queue...(Afzal guru... wonder why he is still waiting and why they did not spend so much on him)

Apparently he never regretted his action and there were no last words of either regret or remorse from him, shows the kind of ruthlessness these terrorists have..But frankly ,unless Dawood,Taliban terrorists and LET is caught and wiped out there will be no peace in the world..

Dear Sid and Sreekala, Indian Government has extracted all the details from this person so that thy have all the relevant details about the activities that are being practiced across the border. Since he was the only survivor it was very important for us to keep him safe to have additional information from him!
Like Kiran said he never had any regrets for his actions. But today according to the TV reports it seems he said before hanging that 'This mistake will not be repeated' and he also said 'May Allah forgive him!'.
Yes, Kasab was just a contract killer hired by the terrorist group! Killing him like killing a soldier of enemy Army. We need to go to the core and the masters behind the whole scene have to be nabbed and hanged. Killing an individual will not end the terrorism but the entire group along with the leaders has to be destroyed! Thanks!

He was hired to kill, as per newspaper he at last realized , and said 'This mistake will not be repeated' and he also said 'May Allah forgive me'
the crores of rupees spent for him is our money only, the strangest thing is---Pakistan did not claim his body..
He should have been hanged in a public place and flesh fed to dogs

Hi Professor.
Well everyone knew that this was eventually going to happen. But everyone is angry for the fact that it took so much time. So much of resources of tax payers hard earned money went in vain. In such a clear cut case, where a person openly gunned down so many people and there was also video footages for evidence. Still in such incident it took them four long years to hang him. I wonder how a common person can expect to get timely justice. As they say: justice delayed is Justice denied.

The hanging was a good decision by the Government. It should have been done much earlier but may be the Government has its own reasons for delaying the decision. Good there was no advance intimation given to the public or anyone else about it. Or else there were chances of a Kandahar incident being repeated where may be someone would have been held hostage to release Kasab. There was a fear of that happening at one time.

Yes,Kasab is hanged and I am happy to watch the news on the television this morning. The terrorist has got what he deserved, but what about Afzal Guru? Why he has been treated like a guest? He too should be made to face the same fate.Sometimes I wonder whether our government is keeping him safe to garner Muslim votes.Kasab is hanged 8 years after the Mumbai massacre.Guru has been in the queue since 2001.Why Kasab was allowed to jump the queue.

Hi,
You are right. In the court of almighty, there is judgement always. I also heard about this news about Ajaml Kasab was hanged.. All the world is facing the problem of terrorism and many innocent people become the victims of it. There are many people who become happy by doing evil deeds. But it is very difficult to eradicate terrorism. But God always punish for bad deeds. Bad deeds always follow the man like his shadow.
