about an hour ago I had read and responded to a discussion that triggered what I thought was a great idea for a discussion, ?so I finally got to the point where I w as going to sit down and write this really great discussions on what?I did not write it down and now sitting here my mind is blank as an unwritten on sheet of notebook paper. My gosh am I too going senile It was only an hour or so ago I had this brilliant idea that I wanted to write about. Now I cannot be sure whic h discussion that I responded to triggered this idea, this super duper idea for a really interesting discussion. I had even thought of a title, now I cannot even remember that part. Something to do with writing discussion I think but now I am not at all sure of that either. But to make this more of a discussion did any of you ever think about how we use the simple little two letter word Up. We look something up, we sign up for something , we ask "What's up?" WE sometimes give up but we never let up using the word up. Your take mylotters?Am I up to something here? lol Even Bugs Bunny used it in "what's up doc"

Mom Hatley At times i just wonder, which topics are not covered in this woderful site, we call mylot.. My problem is I am unable to make any new discussions here, though i am able to respond and comment only. Today Mr. Shridhar (yugasini) of mylot, who lives here in Hyderabad came to see me and my wife, we spent 3 hours together, ate here in my son's home. I wanted to made this a discussion, but it failed to go, how sad I feel

hi professor Aloex answered me and wanted me to tell you both your accounts were fine and that what you are experiencing is a glitch and he is going to have the admins work on it to repair it so you can send discussions again,.

I have done that so many times! Had such a good idea and it was gone by the time I got here... I hate when that happens to me. =( It happens to all of us Hatley. And it could have been your sickness at work too, making you forget what you wanted to write about here.

Oh no! It flew right out of your head just as it flew in. I hate when that happens. It sometimes pops back up when we least expect it to however.

If not there's always more to look up for us to write on. No worries, you always have time to write more any time the ideas come back. Sometimes I don't have any in my mind at all so that's when I go hunting for others.

Hi Ms Hatley! It happens to me also there are lot of times when you are about to say something then suddenly lost the idea. I have to go back to my place and think about it over sometimes it works for me but not always... You can say it is due to your age but sometimes we just forget... :)

Yes, I think you may be up to something. Around here, if I forget something, I just assume that the cats have swiped the idea. Considering that they claim other things as theirs, why not some of my ideas as well?

I now know why the poet wrote the bear went over the mountain...he knew someday Hatley would start a discussion about UP if the bear went UP the mountain..and his bear would be forgotten...and so would the mountains. :)

This happens to me all the time! I think about discussions in mylot, ideas for work, headlines for my wtirings etc and I make sure to take a note immediately or else I will forget it. About mylot, I get many ideas at niht before going to.sleep and I ppst them.right away! I can lwave them.for the next morning but I will never express it better than the moment that I had it! So I log in immediately and post it! This is the best way to make sure that you won't forget it, or you might write it on paper too! I hope it will ccome back to you eventually!

hi besweet yes I really need to do that and most of the time when I do do that I can make a fairly good discussion., bu t the one I had qualms about I should never have made as it really was not that good. oh well I guess we all goof occasionally.

Oh yes, sometimes when we read last nights or even last week's ideas they seem weird! I think I have a different "sentimental" mood at night most of the times while in the morning I read my writings with logic and they look like they aren't mine! I still believe that we should write down ideas the moment we think about them. Maybe this time it didn't come out well but with a little improvement I am sure they will look great!

hi xocolatgedrool yep was supposed to be a great discussion but I coujld not even remember what it was to be about or even the catchy title. maybe I was not meant to write whatever it was so its up to me I guess. I did not know what was up til I woke in the middle of the night with my temp up and a very sore throat. Also my nose is running like a faucet so know my time f or not having a virus is up sob sob sob .

Well, I think this has happened to all of us here one time or another, and it can be quite frustrating for sure. I know I can be out running around somewhere and someone will say something, and I will think I should talk about that in myLot and then come home and cannot remember what I wanted to share here. It is frustrating, but maybe I can remember later, and start a new discussion about it.

I forget too easily. I got a concussion in a auto accident back in the 80's and my memory went by the wayside. With that, stress in my life and age my memory is pretty much shot. I have to have a tablet by me at all times so I can write things down or they escape me.Don't you have favorites? I would capture the screen and put it in my favorites if you don't use a tablet and write it down. I do that sometimes when I get tired right in the midst of some research. I put whatever page/site I was on in my favorites so i don't lose it. THey have changed over night and I can't get back to them. I don't use the word 'up' that often cause I am usually down. hehe

Trying to remember anything now adays is hard, I tend to also forget where I put a bit of paper that I have written on as well, defeats the task in writing it to begin with really. I feel that when we are trying to do things we tend to forget about other things that we thought we would remember, either that or it is the morphine I am on, lol.

I can relate a bit to this post. It also happened to me in the middle of the conversation. My mother laughed at me when I stopped talking and told her that I forgot the rest of it. Maybe because I was just too excited of telling her and I have so many things in my mind to share.

Hi Hatley, what's up? My brother came over and while he was here he used the bathroom. He left the seat up. Boy, that burns me up. I went to sit down and jumped back up so fast! I felt like I was falling in. And my paper shredder broke so I had to burn up a bunch of stuff in the fireplace. And then my cousin, who lives down south, came up to visit me. I knew she was up to something. Sure enough she asked if I could help her move up north. And my neighbors have a son. Even though they brought him up the best they could, he's always been up to no good. But, back to your discussion. No, I never really thought about using the word "up" very much. And now that you mention it I think I'll look it up in the thesaurus and see what other words can be substituted for it. Have a lovely evening, Hatley. And if I'm ever out your way I'll look you up!
