Ok Daddy's can join in but don't think it will work..hahah Starting Tuesday The New Rule..that states a nursing mother must have access to reasonable breaks to express milk or Nurse during the first year following the birth of a child..and some counties even are giving 4 Paid Breaks!! Another step up for Mother's and Soon to be Mama's Does this bother you to see Mother's getting the attention for their new ones?

And why men have not also 4 paid breaks/day during the first year after the birth of a child ? What about equality between men and women ?

@Rosekitty @cupkitties I can nurse with a baby bottle. I wrote this thinking at a law we have here after a man sued the state because he wanted to have the same number of days to take care of his baby than his wife. He won, and now both the father and the mother can take 11 paid days of holidays before the baby has 4 months and 3 paid days at birth.

Some countries give moms most of the first year .... nope, I have no problem with this new rule... now to improve the whole system a little faster.

It's about time women, especially mothers caught a break. When the government sent all the young men off to war women had to step up and do the jobs all these men left unmanned. Then when the men got home they took their jobs back but they didn't want the women to quit because they liked the fact that she was making money for the family too so they sent her to make the coffee for the office. All the while she was working she still had to carry her full load of wifely duties with no help from the man of the house. Don't you men dare to gripe about equality now.

That is awesome news! When I had my babies, I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom, so I didn't have to deal with those work issues. I knew one mom who said she would go pump in the bathrooms at her work - eek! Thank goodness they will have better breaks to be able to do this in the work situation!!

Places I have worked in recent years, like the last fifteen or so have done this without legislation. Of course they were professions involved with human services.

There is a buzz around that they are even planning paid leave for Pa's too during the last month(s) and also a couple of months after so that the baby and the wife can be better cared for. I am definitely up for anything good and I heartily support the new move - for the new born.

I think this is a good idea. Some women have trouble expressing milk and need more time than just a potty break.
