My favorite charity for a reason...

My favorite charity is the Cancer Association. I also like animal shelters , the Boys and Girls Club and Locks of Love. I have lost so many loved ones to cancer. My mother and father both died of it and three members of my BFF's family. Her mother, son and younger sister. These other organizations are great and do so much. I have given a lot of hair to Locks of Love. The Boys and Girls Club were my babysitter for a couple years when I had guardianship of my granddaughter and was working weird hours. And, of course, animal shelters. My daughter goes once a month to a program they have here where they give you dog and cat food. Also, you can choose pet toys. They are so kind to do this. Do you have a favorite charitable institution?

The epilepsy foundation of (my state) because I know that help goes to the families that need it. My son is severely affected by epilepsy and they have helped us a lot. No kill animal shelters. And people that I know that need help. Including friends, homeless folks, and that kind of thing.

I am sorry about people you have lost for cancer. Big cancer organizations have been all scams here in Europe. I donate to local organizations, where we can check where the money goes.

That is best. These scammers really need to be eliminated.

@celticeagle I agree, there was a very big organization that used to spend the 85% of the money for their own "offices" and distributed only the rest. This is a shame.

I help out many local ones first before the ones all over the world and have donated to Locks of love.

And we have a St. Vincent's here that is the same as Salvaton Army which has helped us considerably. We have both here and so many churches too that help a lot with food baskets.
