Things change rapidly

Last night we drove to the new place and could not get in the driveway. It was a moving party of a sorts. The girlfriend of the male tenant was getting all of her stuff out of the duplex. They had a pretty serious break up. So we did not do the flea treatment but hung around and visited a little. Oh, part of the problem was that hubby had gotten the wrong stuff and we would have had to shut off all the pilot lights in the house. We did go inside and check on our side. My tenant should be out of the house in three days or so. He has been in process of buying a house and had not let anyone know. Fine with us for sure. At the old place the neighbor is taking out trees and shrubs and sometime today fill dirt is supposed to be brought in, so we have to leave the drive way clear. We went to Florence, unloaded a load, set the foggers and came back here. We have Subway Gift Cards so that was lunch. Hubby is napping. He has some big moving to do with the neighbor and his car hauler tonight. I hope to have the truck loaded up again when it is time. For a while it is going to be that I do not get online until we have taken care of a load of moving things. So, I get to read and write a while now. What is new with you? Are you experiencing constant change?

Yep, I sure am, but that's life with kids. My oldest started college today. He should be starting a new job soon as we get his birth cert. in the mail. The rest of the kids will start school next Tuesday.

It does not seem right that your oldest should be in college.

@katsmeow1213 No blinking right now, barely sleeping. Have fun with your young adult.

@GardenGerty Well he is, and if you blink, he'll graduate college and be off in the real world!

Sounds as if things are moving right along. I know that moving is difficult. Since 2007 I have moved four times. It can be a serious pain.

Girl you have moved too many times. On the other hand it probably keeps things pared down some.

@GardenGerty It has been a real PIA!!!! You never know how much junk you have until you start moving. I did do quite a bit of getting rid of things on the first and second move. The last two were not nearly as bad.

Moving always interrupts internet time. There's getting service installed, time to move and settle in. You've done surprisingly well to be online as much as you have.

I am addicted to being here. I have totally different options in the new town and have not researched it yet. I am trying not to have too many things going on in two locations.

By the time you settle down you will have lost a few kilos and that should make you happy if you have been wanting it

At least you are further into the process than we are. I hope things settle down for you quickly. This isn't fun by any means!

I do not envy you, my last move was in 2004 and I'm perfectly happy to remain here .... just cleaning out and getting rid of old things is enough for me.

I have not moved in thirty years but have had a variety of people live here with us and leave, often leaving stuff. I think I have been depressed about the house, so although this new one needs stuff done, It is a good change.
