Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic

Starting tomorrow hot air balloons will go up early mornings for the rest of the week. It is beautiful to see. One morning (about 5a.) I happened to be at one of my cities many parks. I looked over to the north and suddenly a hot air balloon came up over the horizon. It was followed by what must have been a dozen others. One by one they popped over the horizon. All different patterns and colors. Lovely. And even some were of different shapes too. I guess a couple came down(deflated I think) in neighborhoods around the city. Funny cause one was a huge champagne bottle coming down in this lady's yard. She wasn't too pleased.

I have seen photos of this event Celt. It must be so wonderful to see in person.
Wish you had some pics of it for to show here.
Yeah bet anyone would be mad if it fell down in their yard or on the house haha

Our hot air balloons start on Friday and so does the october festival. I'm looking forward to it and it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend also.

I have never been in one but have watched a few of my kids go up in one and it sure looked scary and neat to see...

The video just above you response shows a lot of the balloons in the air, up close and lit up in the evening, etc.

I've never seen hot air ballons in the sky, I would love to have this experienece one day. Is it something that you do as a celebration on a specific day?
Also, I was always wondering if someone collects them after they land? It would be nice to have a ballon landing near your place!

Just put on by some city program. We have a lot of neat things here. They have a group of folks that go out and pick them up and a trailer to take the equipment home. Here is a video of them at dawn blowing them up and continue to watch and it will show them up in the air. Continue to watch it and it shows them up close too. Keep watching and it shows them lit up in the evening.
