Been Over a Month Now and i have many who are following me to never be seen again plus many newbies who came over from a B place.
What i'd like to know is just why do you follow a person?..I know why i do and it is because i feel a connection to them and they faithfully come back to my discussions.
Whether we just talk, goof off or i help them.
I am the type that suggests my discussions to my followers..so far only 3 have told me they don't like to be suggested to..
How do you feel about that?....Do you like it or not?..if not i will not suggest to you anymore..and yes i keep notes of this!
I just wish i could delete the ones who follow me and you never hear from..period!
So That follow you till the end of time might be ending soon!

I cannot get enough of suggestions Rose.
I follow a lot of people because..just because haha
And for those who do not like suggestions, I think it is so easy just to delete them
I dont quite get what is so hard about that.
I do not get enough discussions suggested, so then I go to explore to find some.

@Rosekitty I am often sick Rose and usually is why I wouldnt be here if you dont see me. I try to check in often in between my extremely busy schedule haha NOT

I personally am not sure if I like all the 'suggestions' or not. Maybe one or two from the same person a day but I like to spread the wealth.

I like to follow those in which can capture my attention, share the same things I might be interested in, and hopefully able to share a few laughs with.
I have also followed all those that followed me, because I believe in fair play. However, over half of those don't even interact with me. I have yet to get 1 like, a comment, anything. So I started cleaning my 'following' list last night. And will continue to do so.
As far as you suggestion your discussions to me, I don't mind at all. For it has never been one sided. The ones that are one sided, I don't even bother reading them, I just hit 'delete'.

@Rosekitty Well, of course. I always enjoy interacting with you.
Yes, I noticed their names are still there, but when I go to people I don't see them if they have responded to something. So it will making going through the 'people tab' a lot easier (for me).

At first I did not like suggestions, but I now see how easily they fit what I am doing right now. I get to interact with people who are active on the site.

I follow others, so that i can have more friends, not to mention, I have more discussions to respond to, that I might have misse. Also, when I go to my followers discussions, they will in turn go to my discussions. That is also how we help each other too. I am thankful for all the followers I do have.

Ok.
Why do I follow a person - I like his/her discussions if no discussions are started by him/her, I will still follow if we had a good ineraction - maybe light, maybe on serious issues. The vibes must match and I should feel we are on at least similar wavelengths.
.so far only 3 have told me they don't like to be suggested to..
For everyone else - I am not on that list

Suggest me or not, if I appear on MyLot and you have a discussion, 99.9% chances, I will be around. I love being on your discussions
[off the record - also because, I stay in that cupboard next to your kitchen where I can always find some spare brownies, cakes and chocos].

That's the why it works at any of these sites. It is not uncommon. That's one reason I try to be picky as to who I 'friend' 'follow' whatever term!

@Rosekitty Why be concerned about them if they never do anything? They can just sit on the bench and earn nothing. Plus they will miss out on the great conversations and the friendships we have made. Go ahead and keep suggesting to them too. They can't hurt you even if they get tired of seeing your suggestions. Maybe you will come up with a subject that will inspire them to start participating. Who knows?

It is different for people. Myself - because of my part time jobs and then family and not-so-god-health - I jut do not get the time to follow everyone and some days I am not here at all.Just can't cut it

I'm not a fan of the suggestions option personally, though I know it is popular. There are always going to be silent followers. They often just want you to follow and read their work without bothering to reciprocate. Communication runs two ways or it is meaningless.

It totally feels great when someone's suggesting a topic to you. Its just so nice to know that someone remembers you, they won't be suggesting if they don't right?
And there isn't a bad thing about having a lot of suggests. Like DUH! It won't even hurt you nor kill you -.-

I love to respond to interesting discussions. Although I remember having interacted with you earlier on mylot, but I have not been following you (which I have done now). I did love that song my problem is I have not only been deathly sick but can't work well with this stupid laptop. gotta sit hunched over on a couch. have to wait for my HGMI cord to come in for a tv monitor. lol

I don't mind the suggestions. I actually like them from my good connections. And besides, if someone don't want to get these notifications, they can change that in the settings. I know I haven't been very diligent lately here, or any other writing site I belong to. I need to get some things straight first before I can devote lots of time. I am woking on it though. I know what you mean about followers. I have my share, but that does not mean I am going to follow everyone that follows me.

The topic of my first discussion on myLot was that I am a new user and would open-heartedly welcome any suggestions.....I respond to every discussion that I find interesting...
