We all know what is a selfie, but do you know what are "brelfie" "chelfie" and "prelfie" mean? Here are the "urban" definitions: Brelfie initially it meant a selfie only taken to brag. Now it is used to design "breast feeding selfies". Chelfie "Chinese selfie" a photo taken with nothing interesting around to show. Prelfie this one is new! A selfie with a Priest. This is becoming crazy, do you know more new words for selfies?

I've not heard of any of these before. I agree that it is becoming crazy.

We live in a crazy word, soon I will need a new dictionary to understand what young people say.

@LadyDuck I know what you mean. I feel the same way. My brother works with a lot of young people so he is a little more up to date than I am.

My husband and I started a shelfie contest on Facebook. We found photos of shelves and did a bit of word play. Like a shelf with a mirror might be "shelf-interest". Another friend or two joined us and we went on like that for hours.

I agree, I do not care about those new trends, even if they make me feel old.

Oh my goodness, I'd not heard any of those. I suppose language is evolving all the time, not always for the better. It's good to see you here Anna.

It's good to see you around Janet. Every language is evolving, but most of the time not for the better, this is what I think.

Crazy would be an understatement, tis is totally absurd and quite superfluous. Very few people in England appear to have a decent vocabulary of useful words, so it would be more practical to learn those rather than generate useless ones.

Barry, when I saw those words, for a moment, I thought those were new names for the seven dwarfs.

Wow, racist much for the "Chelfie" term? Don't know any of those, it's still probably just selfies to me.

To create a word for a group selfies seems weird. At the beginning "selfie" was used to designate a photo of yourself taken by you. All the others are simply "photos".

@LadyDuck It could go more viral when the priest himself enjoy the selfie and even show some gesture and mimic ... OMG

Are these words really used? Oh I feel so old... I am only familiar with selfies, but I prefer asking other people to take my picture!

As you know Anna, I despise the word, so any elaboration of it I also loathe. People have nothing better to do with their time than to be absolute idiots.

I have read the news about photos with Priest this morning. I cannot believe that a couple during their wedding has nothing better in mind than taking a "selfie" with the Priest. All this sounds ridiculous.
