Mad Cat

Princess is mad, or at least disgusted with us today. I have a vet appointment for her in just an hour. I want her to have a good check up and all inoculations before we move. So, to be certain I do not lose her, she is not being allowed outside. Talk about complaining loudly. We usually let her in and out at will. I just need to be sure she is on hand to go to the doctor.

She is doing fine now. She likes our closet at the new house because it smells like us, I guess.

She is spayed, but it is just so much more interesting to be out with the birds and bugs.

@celticeagle She has had, but really does not care for them. She wants to chase the leaves and bugs outdoors.

She is still confused. I think she would do better if we took her over to the other house and just let her stay. She does not go looking for my sister there.

Just like a child complaining. Cats are cool though. My son loves cats, he has two of them actually. I cannot have one because I am allergic. But he will be fine after is check up I am sure.

The vet says that for her age she is doing really well.

@GardenGerty That's good news. As long as she is doing fine. We do have to take care of our pets. They are family.

My cat actually appreciates the vet because the vet loves giving her treats. She hates getting baths much more. I remember my cat got so dirty because when decided to sleep under my greasy car so Image no choice but to give her some bath. She bit me, she scratched me and she ignored me for three days because of that incident. She did forgave me but if she covers her body in grease again, I will bathe her again.

I had cats that had such bad fleas I would bathe them occasionally. Outside. No, they did not like it. I never had one get covered in grease or oil. When wild animals get in oil storage vats their rescuers bathe them with Dawn dish detergent.

@GardenGerty I will try dish detergent if my cat ever got colored by grease again. Its really hard to get rid of it with cat soap and human soap.

Awww, poor Princess.. My neighbor lets her cat at will too, but the cat has a harness and is hooked up so he can't get away. Of course one time he did get away and was gone for months before he was found again. He has been home for almost a year, I think, and he still hasn't gained all his weight back.

I am concerned for Princess when we move. I did make her a carrier to go between the two houses and she does not seem to mind it much. She has explored the house a little and has looked out the window but not asked out.

@GardenGerty Maybe the house is still so new, that even when she looks outside, the inside still needs exploring. Give her time, you only been there for how long? A couple weeks?

I hope her visit went well, and that you were forgiven when she got to go outside again. Our cat HATES the carrier and will yowl the whole time she is in one.

Today she is quietly staying inside, sleeping on Bob's work laptop or in his chair. I think the weather is changing and I also think she may be chilling from her vaccinations.

I dont have a cat so I don't know the issue with taking one to a vet. I know our dog can sense when the vet appointment is, and she avoids us, the car and the shop.

Dogs seem to know the word "bath" as well.

Aren't cats just the master of disappearance at times like this!

Poor Princess, I am sure she senses the danger in the air, she knows you are getting to take her to the vet. Good luck.

She has been dealing with us moving my sister out and then daily taking more of our things away. It is all confusing and alarming to her.
