We do know that some animals alive today existed alongside dinosaurs. Some of them were Echidnas (anteaters), Sharks, Caiman(crocodials), Bees, Tuatura and many more. We know also that the largest dinosaurs such as the Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus were herbivores (plant eaters). The Allosaurus or Spinosaurus were meat eaters who would fight over their kill. Birds descended from a type of dinosaur known as theropods. Some of the most well know dinosaurs are Tyrannosaurus rex and Brachiosaurus. It is believed that dinosaurs lived on Earth until around 65 million years ago when a mass extinction occurred. You can see some of these dinosaurs in the movie Jurassic Park or Jurassic World.

Dinosaurs are a great interest of children. They love to learn about them. Imagine if they were here now. There would be less crime as people would be fighting off dinosaurs instead.

You were quite young when they were around, I wasn't around when they were so you must be ancient.

There were also some mammals when dinosaurs disappeared, and their disappearing gave them a chance to rule the world.

Fascinating topic to talk about.. They're fantastic creatures and I cannot imagine how would it be if they would still exist nowadays. However huge and scary they seem I am still interested about them and their history.

If evolution is indeed true, then our ancestors did exist around that period. I wonder who they were. If evolution is not true, then our ancestors came in a space ship from some other planet, after dinosaurs became extinct.

@Marcyaz Chocolates were invented 3,100 years ago. So there is no chance that these delicacies existed 65 million years ago.

Although they know a lot about dinosaurs, I don't think they know everything about them yet. Since it was so long ago that they actually were alive on this planet, I am sure there will be aspects about them we will never know.

@Marcyaz I think so. After all, we can only go by some bones and theories. What else is there really. We don't even really know if those dinosaurs were actually that big.

I remember I liked to study the dinosaurs when I was a kid in school. I was fascinated by the fact that smaller animals survived while they all disappeared. The law to adapt to the new situations fast.

Thanks for sharing, however there is scientific evidence that our earth is only about 6,000 years old. If you would like to check this out go to: Carl Baugh, Creation Evidence Museum of Texas. You can also find him on youtube.com. You will be thrilled if you check this out. There is scientific facts that what the Bible declares is after all true. There is more evidence for the Creation than evolution. As nothing has ever come by a big bang, except God's voice when He spoke the world into existence. He's an awesome God. And He loves you The Bible says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life! We never know when its our time to go make sure you know where your going! Remember God loves you just as you are but too much to leave you there He will help you in whatever way you need Him to.

There are other scientist who say our Earth is much older than that and I'm sure they have their proof to back this up also.

@Marcyaz In my Childhood days , my dad bought a book from New Century Book House . In that I remember I found lot of Carnivorous Dinosaurs and Herbivorous Dinosaurs pictures with the habits and characters of them . That was I think in the year 1983 . But the movie Jurassic Park came in after 1992 Lizards , Crocodiles , Kangaroos may be the Dinosaur Family or the Origin
