Love/Hate myLot

This post is long overdue. Well, I was late to the party because of my semi-posting hiatus due to 'life' happening but I'm here now. Let em go ahead and write down my thoughts on the new myLot. Now, love and hate are really strong words and emotions but I think those are the best words to describe my thoughts plus love and hate are pretty self-explanatory.
Love the new design. Hate that it looks eerily familiar to other sites out there.
Love the new features. Hate that they got rid of the old ones. Does anyone miss the categories? Or even the friends/followers' list?
Love the push that the site is getting from the online community. Hate that it might attract the wrong type of members. As it is, plagiarists, spammers, scammers, and violators might rear their f'ugly heads in the site.
Love that the site is paying again. Hate that they stopped in the first place.
Love that I have a topic to write about for this post. Hate that it isn't enough to cover the specifics.
Love that you're reading this post until this point. Hate that you didn't read this far.

They are actually doing a pretty good job of keeping the spam at bay. It was much worse before they banned adverts again and started cleaning up the junk. I haven't seen anyone here that I would consider terribly unpleasant either so far.

I love that we can upload images in the comments section. I love when our comments get instantly loaded. I hate when I get the timeout warning - I just hate, hate it hate it This is the one and only site where it happens

I also dislike when I get absolutely no error message, but the stupid page doesn't load, either.

@allknowing I have been getting pages that will not load (or sometimes partially load) on here, but I don't get any error messages, either. They just look like maybe the title of the discussion, for example, but nothing else ... the entire rest of the page is blank.

I liked the user rankings, but that is because mine was high. I hate that so many of our friends still have not come back full force including @hatley who was the one who ranked higher than I.
I love that many of our friends are here, I hate the time out errors that deter some of them.

Oh yes, I really, REALLY hate the "time-out" and "error: error" messages. In fact, the last one makes me wonder whether or not myLot has a stuttering problem.

I think your discussion said it all. I am loving it, but on the same hand, I would like to see some of the things that the old mylot had like categories, as I could pick which category I wanted to respond to a discussion. I sure do miss that. Who knows, but that they might bring them back. Have to wait and see I guess.

Today is my first day back since the sight stopped paying and went in a different direction. I'm still fumbling around here today. I haven't experienced the the errors yet and hope I don't. I too am missing some of the features of the old mylot but definitely love the new features. I'm glad to be back and seeing so many familiar users.

I signed up over 2 years ago and never gave it much thought, as I was on another writing site at the time.. I have just started to become a little more active in the past day or 2. I think it's okay so far..

I love Mylot because you can write and share to the world what you are feeling. Also you can share your thoughts and opinions with other people about a specific topic.
