Pumpkin Spice / myLot

So at this time of year there are pumpkin spice marshmallows, bread, cookies, and lattes. Real pumpkin sales dropped 9M last year and, 361M pumpkin spice products were sold . I mean Starbucks started their Pumpkin Spice Latte in 2003. I like the flavor of pumpkin spice but I also like pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. Hmm. Any thoughts?

I don't care for actual pumpkin but I do like things that are flavored with pumpkin such as my coffee creamer.

I like pumpkin pie, with the right spices. By itself it has that same texture as squash and always makes me gag.

@celticeagle @gudheart I wish I liked it because pumpkin pie smells so good. It just reminds me too much of sweet potatoes. I can eat sweet potatoes but I have to be in the mood to eat them. After that, I don't want them again for a long time.

Tis the seasons to have it from Halloween to Christmas. As they call it, a limited seasonal flavor.

@KristenH ...Nutmeg has a nice flavor. If you like cinnamon you will probably like nutmeg.

I dont like the pumpkin flavored products at all. I do like pumpkin pie however.

My sister makes a wonderful pumpkin jam. I might make some pumpkin muffins or bread this year.

I only buy real pumpkin to prepare pies, breads, jams, dumplings. I do not like the idea of artificial pumpkin flavor in my drinks.

I have never tried pumpkin spice before. Not sure it is that popular in the UK as I have never seen it in supermarkets.

I like pumpkin spice stuff also but not in a latte. Dunkin donuts has their pumpkin spice coffee out now as well but i don't care to try it. I love pumpkin pie also and pumpkin anything basically.

With some of the pumpkin spices they have went to far. I am not going to drink anything with pumpkin flavor in it. I will stick to pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread.
