I Have Finally Started a Food Blog

Last year after Helium closed I decided to start my own travel blog. I am The Traveling Grandma. This spring I decided to expand on that and started a genealogy blog, a local blog and a photo blog. I am a real foodie however and I have finally decided to start a food blog.
I plan to start slow with a few recipes and idea and maybe some reviews of food related products. I am welcoming guest bloggers so if you have a recipe you would like to share on my blog I would be happy to welcome you.
Have you started your own blog? It is free you know and you can make money with Adsense and Amazon.

I like the feeling that on my blog I am in control, everywhere else I am at the mercy of the site owner or owners.

I had started my own blog. but it is difficult to have a own blog as it need much atention and time. Being just a student in college i dont have that much time. I am sure that you are doing great with blogging my dear friend.

It does take some time but when I have extra time I schedule several posts ahead so I only have to promote on those days.

That is so good. I created one for my mom. They are a lot of work but you can easily find networking in food blogs. Search online for some foodie groups you can join to share your blog posts with. This will help get your blog a lot more exposure. Good luck and have fun blogging.

@jaboUK My only concern is that B is going away and it would be a shame for all your wonderful stories to be lost or gone. You can use a blog as a diary and never really promote it or worry about monetizing it. You could put all of your posts that you want to save from B on it.

goodness! when the heck do ya get time to tend to all that, hon? i've been roped into doin' a blog...'fter o'er 6 months 'f kickin' 'n screamin'. fer myself, i see such's a waste 'f time 's i doubt serious it'll fly well. but, it's humorin' those gals 'n they're havin' a blast designin' such. i fear i lack the discipline fer such 'n my funny dribblin' 'll prolly doom it from the start.

I don't post every day on every blog. I also don't always make really long posts. I keep it around 200-300 words. I have such a back log of articles I can and have written that need a place to be posted that I don't work all that hard. It does take time though I am not going to deny that.

@BelleStarr that'd not be so bad, jest worryin' with 200-300 words per article. i've done a bit 'f freelancin' 'n they've required more'n double that...i dunno if'n i could be consistent with days 'f writin' such, which those gals claim to be so necessary so's not to lose viewers. 'course major trouble i reckon is i aint nothin' brilliant nor compellin' to dribble these days. i'm thinkin' i'm all used up.

I think I saw your blog before... The traveling Grandma one. I had a couple blogs over the years. mostly devoted to Horror movies and comics but they ended long ago. I was too busy at the time but maybe I'll bring them back someday.

It is really simple. Blogger does all the work for you and it is free. All you need is a gmail account.
