A small note to say to my bubble and myLot friend @valmnz - Congratulations on the WIN for the All Blacks. The game was awesome - Daniel Carter is Awesome!! The Rugby World Cup is yours for another 4 years. Lets hope we see you soon in South Africa. Thanks to @ison1 for shouting for the Aussies to keep his trend in spurring on the losers.

Thank you so much, Janet :-) . I am glad, and I know Lany is too, that our guys could at least get a medal. After losing to Japan in our first game, not many thought we would get very far in the tournament.

I knew they had won when a Facebook friend from NZ posted a status update that merely said "Yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeessssssss!!!!".

Yee-haw! Amazing that the Rugby and Cricket World Cups were so similar, with Aus and NZ in both finals and SA knocked out by the Kiwis in the semis. (So near and yet so far.) Oh, and of course England failing to get past the group stage in both tournaments. Without being at all biased, I did think the All Blacks were a class above every other team in the RWC and it would have been a travesty if they hadn't won.

We're not really into sports at all but we got up at midnight to watch this match. We watched the Australian/Scottish game in Ireland with a person who could explain some of the rules to us so that made it a bit more interesting.
