Looks Like It's Gonna Be A Washout For My Plans

It is really a cold and wet Autumn in Beijing but the temperatures are freezing ranging between 7 to 16 degrees Celsius. Wait, did I say it is Autumn? Here we are all dressed up in our winter clothing already but we are having rain instead of snow. I had some visiting guests from the Kuwait and had wanted to make a trip to the famous starred Confucius Temple and at the same time drop by to see the old Beijing Hutong - old traditional residence. Due to the sudden change of the weather, I could not help feeling disappointed for them to cancel the plans till a later date and hopefully before they go back to their country.

The weather can really change suddenly , even if it was forecast that it will be sunny . I am sorry that the weather ruined your plans for the day .

Well, it just happened and there's really not much any one could do at the moment other than find other alternatives. I'm just concern for my guests who would be feeling much more disappointed than me.

@artemeis Then they should plan an extension of their vacation or come back for another one taking into consideration when it will be having the best weather .

no one should take nature or the weather for granted and the mess we have made of the ecosystem makes that way more so

I think with the phenomenal weather these days people are being more wary and cautious than taking it for granted. Hope that it doesn't get worse.

@artemeis I think it will get a lot worse given our impact on the environment

You just cannot do anything about vagaries of weather. Now a days weather has become unpredictable. Weather changes all of a sudden and your scheduled outdoor programmes go hay wire. We just cannot do anything about sudden change in weather but pray to Great God.

@artemeis - Yes, therefore, we always need to make alternate plans, in case weather becomes adverse.

@dpk262006 They (visitors) have their own plans as well and I just do not have that opportunity of making alternate plans. Here when it rains, it could really ruin plans since most places are outdoors and travel could be considerably distant.

Has the weather gotten better yet? It is windy and rainy here. The 40's about average right now. Sounds warm here compared to 16 degrees. Brrr.!

It is winter and cold. It is rather cloudy and foggy with the air quality at unhealthy stage. So it is still indoors for us.

I think the temperature is much felt when the winds start picking up otherwise we could still enjoy a stick of Popsicle.

I don't think so, since the weather forecast is saying that we will be having rain for the next 4 days and there will be snow as well.

@just4him Well, that's weather are these days and I suppose there's nothing much I can do except to please them by bringing them to shop for electronics, smartphones, tablets, gadgets and other fancies of theirs.

Considering that it is humid and hot when they left Kuwait, so it is quite an experience for them. But after a trip to the departmental stores, I got them all well clothed for the weather.

It will be raining for the next four days with an expected ice rain tomorrow. So it will be indoors for all of them.

I agree, the weather is now changing unlike the old times. maybe it has to do with global warming. It is sad your friends cannot go to places there because of the rain. It is really disappointing.
