Villages in the UK and Ireland are very close together. Sometimes it seems you no sooner leave one than you're entering the next. One of these villages is Dunshaughlin and it is close to where my son lives.
We built Damian and his wife two planter boxes and needed some timber. As we had few tools we asked the shop assistant if it was possible to cut the planks to the lengths we needed. We thought they'd have an electric saw of some sort but no, despite our protests, he got to and sawed them all by hand. He was from Eastern Europe and had been in Ireland for six years. Another act of random kindness to add to the others we encountered.
In the middle of the village is this adorable sculpture of a small boy toddling towards, perhaps, his grandfather. We saw many such beautiful items but weren't always able to stop to get a photo of them. This one we did manage to capture.
Does your town have artworks around the place?

@JudyEv ya its fun but important thing is that when they met each other they will come in touch and as much as talk with each other they will learn something new

@birjudanak Networking with new friends in this way is very important and children will learn a lot from each other.

We have a marble statue of one of the first founders of a large hotel in the area.

Some of these statues must be very expensive to put up.

I love that you found random acts of kindness on your travels. I like the sculpture. Not many small villages have anything like that. The small city where we do our shopping has some interesting sculptures.
The small villages tend to have "the world's biggest ______" Like this example, the world's biggest lamp. Actually I don't know if they claim it's the biggest.

What a lovely sculpture, we have a couple in our town...but i've seen better.... I wish sometimes there would be an information plaque or marker nearby.... telling us the story of ...why it's there ?? Because there usually is a story....

I love to find sculpture around in a city. The bigger cities do have them. My small town has nothing and other local small towns have murals painted on the walls but no sculpture that I can think of. I love your photo! I also like the random acts of kindness.

@JudyEv That is the truth. I guess we are just too small for tourists.

@PainsOnSlate Some of our small towns are battling to survive so they come up with all these ideas to attract visitors. Some are very innovative.

Some of our smaller towns might have a sculpture or other artwork. Some artists like to get out of the cities and live in the smaller towns. In that case you might find some of their work round the place. And everyone is keen to pretty up the towns to attract the tourists - and their money!

There are towns and cities around that do have art around. Not the little town where I am. It is amazing the workmanship that creates that kind of art and the workmanship that makes for the kind of service of sawing your boards.

We are a pretty small island Judy, with not a lot of room to expand the space between inhabited areas, unlike Australia
... if we stretch too far, we would end up in the sea... did you know, that nowhere in Britain is more than 74 miles from the wet stuff..hope you are enjoying your time here, and return home with good memories

Another thing that continually forced itself to our attention was how long it took us to get anywhere. We were prepared for narrow roads, etc but hadn't realised just how slow travelling can be sometimes. We kept off the motorways as much as possible so it was our own fault that we were slow. We just wanted to chug along and see the country. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there thanks.

I wish I could visit the UK! I'm sure there are much more cute things that you can discover there. I did enjoy Korea a lot and hope to spend more time traveling overseas.

I'm sure Korea would blow my mind too. The Asian countries are so totally different from what I'm used to.
