@Marilynda1225 I also do online shopping once in a while . But it cannot compare to my joy of actually shopping because i can fit clothes and shoes and see if it will fit nicely on me .

@SIMPLYD I have had some good experience shopping online as we have a wider choice, the stuff is delivered at home and even replaced sometimes even without taking back the item that I complain about.

Hmm , there are a lot of you who loves online shopping ! I am happier when i actually shop though .

So there too , it's that . Yes, actually malls have lots of shoppers on weekends . Some buys , but most just hangout at the mall . Families would eat out there too . That's why even if online shopping is popular people still would like to go shopping in the actual sense .

That's good that those malls are really prolific as you and @thesids have mentioned . Here, usually it becomes crowded only when there are Sales and on payday which comes on the 15th and 30th of the month .

Oh is that so . So it's Chines New Year there that is well celebrated . What baout Christmas ?

@SIMPLYD one day non-working holiday. But the extravagant decorations are all up after the halloween. But I it is merrier here on Chinese New Year.

@wiLLmaH So it's Hallotween they decorate extravagantly and merrier on Chines New Year . I guess , New Year is always the well celebrated occasion , with fireworks and all that noise !

@SIMPLYD We have a very good supermarket in our nearest small town. There isn't a mall though. In the supermarket as soon as there even looks like being a queue they call up more people to work the checkouts. We love our store!

Yes, it is that indeed and also the Sale that is being offered to shoppers. I also don;t like to shop when there are many shoppers . It's just that last Saturday , i have to buy some necessities and was surprised that at this early the mall has many shoppers and long lines of payors at the counters .

@changjiangzhibin89 Malls have different strategies just to entice shoppers . They even have raffles with a brand new model of a car as the grand price !

@SIMPLYD Oh,I don't much like this queuing lark.Over here the shops also use free gifts as bait or stuff thrown in to attract customers .

Really , you don't go to the malls , but just online . So are you satisfied with what you shop online ? Me, i love shopping . It's the money that i don't have much though .

@SIMPLYD I know that don't I .. Just teasing.. I don't like crowds.. I am okay with buying online.. I am a simple girl and most of the sites do have easy return/ exchange processes.

I suppose it's because it's a day where it is the rest day of employees who have full time jobs . It's bonding day with the family , either just at home or go outing or just go malling .

@SIMPLYD I don't go to the mall to shop. I go to other stores around where we live.

Really ! It's sad that these horrible killings at Paris affected Alberta , Canada too .

Here too , the malls have Sales , which really attract shoppers . I guess , they save for this , so they can get value for their money , meaning they can get goods at cheap prices

Yes, that's what i was thinking when i saw those shoppers . But most haven't gotten their 13th month pay yet and even the bonus .

Precisely , that's what i felt and thought of when i saw a lot of shoppers at the mall. It seems people have lots of money to be always at the mall.

@SIMPLYD Sadly I do not get a bonus until after the 1st of the year. I will put some of it aside for next year though.

The Christmas chopping has already begun . It's always the case specially when employees have received their 13th month pay and some incentives at work .

@katsmeow1213 But at least , you get a bonus and getting it at the 1st of the year is one good sign that the year will be a productive one .

@SIMPLYD Yes, for my personal needs I prefer to go to shop so I can fit them. But this Christmas I think I am not buying anything for myself. I am sure I will be receiving gifts anyway.

@salonga Wow really . I only receive one gift - from my daughter . As to my husband , he just buys me the foods i like .

Yes, me too . When there are a lot of shoppers i don't like to shop anymore , except when there's an exigency to buy . Buying online is another option . Though , when it comes to clothes , bags and shoes , i like to buy personally .

@SIMPLYD Around here there is quite a bit of theft during the holiday season. People shop and put their purchases in their vehicles then head to a different store or mall and thieves break into their cars to steal what they have bought already.

Yes, me too , i avoid going to the mall during the Christmas season , except when there are necessities i need to buy .

@Shellyann36 That also happens here . But since malls have parking spaces where it is in another part of the building , it is avoided .

@SIMPLYD No, we dont have Christmas as a special function here. India is now becoming a Hindu Country though constitutionally we are a Secular Nation, Christians are very much numbered at my place. As for the malls, some of them are big, but most of them are as normal as they can be. Limited space. Some bigger ones have three or more floors dedicated. Wait. This is the scenario at my Place. There are bigger malls in the country no doubt. And definitely, there is more rush at places where there are more Christian community.

@thesids Oh i forgot that you don't have Christmas as a special function . My apology . Anyway , it's good that the mall business there is that lucrative basing on what you said that it's always packed with people . Or could it be that most are just malling but not buying actually ?

Really , even if it's niot the Christmas season ? Are the malls in your country so big also ?

Really ! Maybe because the people aren't fond of buying goods that aren't what we call necessities .

And do you notice that not everyone is buying goods , but just hanging out with the family or with friends ? Then they will eat at a fastfood because it's cheaper . In a few more weeks people will be flocking to groceries specially when the 13th month will be given to employees to buy the ingredients for the noche buena .
