Crisis!! Crisis!!!

Hubby was going to take his little car to work today. It is parked in the way of the place I want the shed delivered. He did not move his car last night. His little car did not start this morning. This means two things: If he does not return before the shed is delivered, I will have to help the delivery person find an alternative way to deliver and set up. The second thing is that I need fresh garlic and celery to put in the turkey I am cooking in the roaster today. I was going to drive to a regular grocery store, but it looks like I must go to the local market and hope that they have the things I want and need. Guess it is time to get dressed and get my walk in.

I would walk too, just in case the car starts at home and not when you are at the store ready to go back home again. That is a good way to get your walking in for the day.

I did not get to go for the walk, afraid to miss the delivery of the shed. I do not even know where the key is for the little car. I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic, and rosemary, and celery seed to season the turkey. I needed to get it started cooking.

@GardenGerty That sounds like a great alternative. We usually just season our birds with poultry seasoning, and of course we lather on the butter before that. Now you've got me hungry, what time is supper ready at?

I decided I could not be away from the house long enough to shop. I used garlic powder and rosemary and celery seed. It is always worth the walk if only for my health. Looks like it is going to rain, too.

@shellyjaneo This is a little market in a little town. The nearest full service grocery is over ten miles away.

@GardenGerty At least you had substitutes you could use. I wish I could walk to the market or shops but the nearest is 2.5 miles away so would take quite a while x

It just often refuses to start on cold mornings. When he returned home from his half day work it started right up.

I don't know many people who put garlic in the turkey except for Rachel Ray!

I put garlic in nearly every thing. So I need some fresh. I used granulated garlic today. Decided I needed to get the turkey cooking.

Actually it went well. There was room beside the driveway to back the truck and trailer. Then what I did not know is they tilt the shed off the trailer and use a machine called a "mule" to move it. I gotta see if my pictures turned out.

The turkey was delicious and that way we have cold turkey for sandwiches if the electrician turns off the power when he finally gets here. The shed worked out well too. I will have to see how the pictures came out.

I guess the turkey will be fine without garlic or celery. I never use garlic in birds. But I hope that your hubby´s car works. That´s much worse than a head of garlic.

If the source of traveling is not there one finds it too difficult to travel along.

It turned out to be an easy work around. Hubby came back just as the delivery guy was leaving.Of course the car started right up. The shed is in place, and I am getting the shelves ready to take out so I can put "stuff" on them.
