When our son moved to live In a seaside town about seven months ago, we imagined we'd go and visit him once a month. It's about a two hour drive from here and a very popular place, especially well known for its sunshine, fruit growing, wine industry and as an art deco centre, having been rebuilt after a big earthquake in 1931. But, we've all been busy, and it's been about three months since we last went. For the last few weeks we've been trying to organise a time to suit, and today is finally the day. Usually we arrive late morning, then go somewhere to have a nice lunch together. Sometimes that's at a favourite restaurant beside the sea, but today we're thinking we may go to a winery that serves a nice lunch platter. It's going to be an enjoyable break away and I'm looking forward to seeing our son. This photo is taken looking down on the port on a sunny day a few months ago.

@Marcyaz Is the question for Val or for me? We do not have seafood in Switzerland because we have no sea. What we can find in the stores is imported.

Ha, ha, still breakfast time here Abby, leave in about an hour. There won't be crayfish today, far too expensive for other than Christmas this will probably be a cold meat, cheese, olives and bread type of platter at one of the vineyards.

It does sound like a fun visit. I try to go see my dad once a month but that does not seem to happen like it should, either. It is gray here today, so I like the thought of a sunny beach.

This is so normal. Happens when one moves elsewhere. Makes you really want to make up a lot of time in a small scan of it doesn't it?
