I'm spitting feathers, hopping mad,
Why am I cross? - well, there's some cad
Who thinks it fun to steal my words,
And Anna's too - such thieves are turds.
Now I'm not one to cast a curse,
But I can think of few things worse
Than a nasty plagiariser,
Perhaps by now he's somewhat wiser.
To those of you who plagiarise
We'd like to open up your eyes,
Just be sure you will get caught
And all your cheating come to nought.
It's plain to us you're not afraid
To pinch a post that's ready-made,
But your theft it was reported
And your thieving ways were thwarted.
To rant and rave is not my habit
But if your throat were near I'd grab it,
How do I feel, you plagiarist?
It starts with P and rhymes with 'kissed'.

But I am not surprised at all
That cheaters drive you up the wall
I have to say I am glad I missed
This discussion stealing plagiarist
Mylot will certainly never condone
Passing another’s work off as one’s own
Did he really expect to get away
With copying what was written today
Does he think that no one will remember
What was written by a fellow member

I hope there's a way to screen the wannabee members to make sure he/she doesn't get a chance to reup here.
This is one koooaall limerick ... it can't be poetry cuz I know I woodn't be readin it ... and makes me glad I'm not that talented, I'll not need to worry bout thieves, whew

That happened here too??? I guess I hadn't noticed, I heard some talking about a thief but wasn't paying attention. But how can you be mad??? You should be Glad. Just kidding I know how frustrating it is and to think someone here would be that stupid...

@PainsOnSlate yes it happens here too. some don't copy discussions, but responses and comments instead. but a lot of us old and new members spot and report them and admin is quick to deal with them.
maybe they stay manageable because we're not that big yet and maybe because mylot has a different setup and with different rates so some don't stay too long or don't try again.

@PainsOnSlate Yup it happened here too. The idiot copied both mine and LadyDuck's post, and they were the top ones on the lists, so how he thought it wouldn't be noticed is beyond me.

Good for you. I'm so glad that you told them off. I hate anyone to steal the ideas and especially copy them word for word. This stinks and is so unfair to others. I hope the site will give one or two chances and then ban them for good. Personally I think it should be 0 but I have seen a few people who did this once still here on the site.

I don't think a person stealing a post should get a second chance. It shows a mean spirit.

@jaboUK Great one! I get really irritated when people plagiarise. I don't like when people can be so dishonest. I remember when I was in grade 9, we had to go in groups of 2 or 3 to write a song. I wrote it by myself because a friend of mine couldn't be bothered and the other girl couldn't either lol When I finished it, the other girl went around to her friends and people in the class telling them she wrote it.

@VivaLaDani13 I didn't care for this thing during my schooling or even in College. I preferred to do the job alone. Even in group settings so it didn't matter to me who got the credit. I knew for myself that I did it and so did the teacher/ faculty/ instructors. I didn't care about others opinions on the matter.
Now it's a different matter entirely!
