My son-in-law and my daughter are such encouragers.
They have tackled quite a few projects while visiting. We have hung doors, and moved a huge glass front book shelf. My daughter and grand kids assisted me in bringing boxes of books in from the shed and putting them away.
We went out to the park, then took flattened boxes to the recycle center.
We have done more in three days that I could do alone in three weeks.
Still have many more things to do. Talk to you all later.

I like to help family organize, clean not so much, but I enjoy organizing

The cleaning is always there, and can wait until they leave. It is a matter of having the energy to disassemble and reassemble things that slows me down.

It does go a lot faster when you have someone helping you out. We are considering moving to another state next year and if that happens I have a lot of packing to do. But before that is to happen I will need to go through my treasures and decided what to keep and what to donate or trash.

@GardenGerty Just sent you a pm. When my youngest daughter lived with us she organized my treasures and also got rid of a lot of junk for me. It will be easier for me to go through it all now.

Start early so that you can make wise choices. Where would you be moving, may I ask?

@GardenGerty Can I borrow them for a week?
I can't get my guys to do much of anything without them making me feel like a slave driver.

I just wish we all lived closer. This home is nicer and better set up for visits. I imagine as the kids get older the trips will be easier.

It is. Little kids and even bigger kids enjoy carrying books and putting them in shelves.

They have to move on. His folks expect them Christmas week. They dropped further south to see the rest of the family as this will likely be the only time some of the little ones will meet their great grand dad.

Having the knowledge and experience my son in law has plus being able to just talk about stuff with my daughter made it nice.
