the joy of work

I got down on my hands and knees, a jug of hot soapy water in one hand and kitchen towels in the other, and I scrubbed that fridge clean to within an inch of its life. It's never been so sparkly. Beautiful. Then we drank coffee and chatted. Shortly after this my Line Manager made us do some team-building exercises; we played board games {I opted for Cluedo} and ate leftover chocolates and biscuits. Lunchtime? I was forced into buying some chips. I say forced, I mean I had my arm twisted, but only a tiny bit. They weren't that nice though. *sigh* This afternoon I've read some forums. In a second I'm off to do some training on values and Britishness, or somesuch. Then I shall be toddling off home. It's a hard life, this working lark. *smile*

Cleaning it's a hard job, you deserved a little treat.

Especially when it wasn't even my mess to clean up! :)

I had just told my first client that cleaning the refrigerator was one of my least favorite tasks when she asked if I would rearrange the items in her refrigerator. Of course I did it for her. It was only rearranging, not a complete cleaning.

@Poppylicious I jokingly tell people that I would rather lick the floor clean with my tongue than clean a refrigerator! LOL.

I like rearranging. I'd prefer to organise a fridge than clean it!

Fridge cleaning is bit boring but I do it once a week.

I rarely do it. I'm quite bad when it comes to things like that.

Was it your refrigerator or the one at work? At least you had a treat when all was said and done!

The one at work. I probably should have made it clear that it's a follow up post to my previous one!!

Did you have to clean the fridge at work? That is a task I only like to do at home! Well at home, I don't even actually like that task.

I didn't have to, but if we'd asked Estates & Facilities it would have been bottom of their 'to do' list. It didn't take long and I just held my breath throughout. :)

Oh, come and do my fridge as well. It really needs help. Have a great rest of your day, mine is barely begun.

I don't even do my own fridge! But then, I don't let it get into the state the work one got into. :)

haha, I wonder what is the "salary" that the line manager gives you! You better ask for one year extra on top of your usual lifespan. It sure is hard work scrubbing the fridge.

Sounds like you are exhausted from all that work. I just finished scrubbing my floors.

Absolutely. I shall have to make that my daily mantra. Although, it won't help me lose weight ...
