Michael Jacksons Neverland ranch is up for sale for $100 Million dollars. On the property is a tennis court, basketball court and swimming pool. There is a mansion, zoo and an amusement park on the property , the zoo and amusement park are no longer in use. I wonder about the zoo and amusement park. It has twenty two buildings, two guest houses and the main building which also has a movie theater. At one time it also had a fire station but no more. Is this property really worth that amount of money?

I expect the value is down to who owned it more than anything else - surprised it isn't a museum to Jackson like Graceland is for Presley

well considering all of the stuff you mentioned on the property it probably is worth that if not more depending on location and well also because he was so famous regardless of good or bad fame.

@Marcyaz If I had money I would probably bid on it to have all of that on a property is almost as good as having a private island to yourself.

Apparently he didn't have a very good money manager @Marcyaz . Michael's dad was a butthead; nothing those kids ever did was good enough for him. It didn't help that his doctor was more interested in the money he got then Michael's health too. There's probably some billionaire out there who will buy the property.

I think his dad was his manager for a time and his doctor was not the best. I image someone will buy the property sometime in the future.

@nanette64 His dad was certainly not looking out for Michael's interest but his own even to this day.

Yes, it probably is. I thought a movie star owned it after MJ was no longer living there.

@celticeagle I have not seen anything about a movie star living there only that the bank owned it.

That is a lot of money. A developers will make a fortune out of that. It sounds like a small town and not someones home.

I have no desire to buy that place, not that I could afford it. However, there may be some extremely wealthy fans out there who can. It must be disgusting now.

I would say it is yes, compared to some of the asking prices of other places that are less famously known. Anyone with money I guess it would be worth it.

Back when it was first reported that the house was up for sale, I had thought that if I had the money I would buy it, but now I don't think so.
