I Won $50! / myLot

Last month it was $10 from Winloot.com, this week I won $50 from ContestChest.com. I receive emails from them every day with contests I am eligible for according to my country and my preferences. Every Friday a contest code can be entered for a weekly $50 prize. I just got an email today saying I won last week's contest for $50. I am so excited. I was excited about $10. I need all the money I can get so I enter contests constantly (which takes time away from other stuff I should be doing). Persistence pays off. Hopefully my next win will be an even bigger payoff. I did win another book which I received in the mail this week and am looking forward to reading that. That $50 U.S. is going to translate into an even bigger payday with the Canadian dollar being so low. Happy Dance.

Mylot money yesterday was sent to my credit union and converted in Canadian money which gave me more.

I will probably make payment this month. I haven't made it since I've been back but I haven't been very active.

That sounds good. congrats. I have not yet checcked that website. I guess I have to keep an eye on such website. if it earns some money then it is good.

I was entering contests on this site for quite awhile until I noticed the $50 daily prize drawing tab. If the guy had not collected last week's winnings I would have won $250 as the money carries over when someone doesn't collect.

Wow, you are so lucky. I cannot even win in a cake raffle. And despite buying the whole booklet, I did not even win a single cake! :P

I am aware of Winloot but not Contest Chest. I thought all these sites were scams and I am glad to hear that they are not. Maybe, I need to look into them again.

I responded to Winloot's email and received the money in my paypal account the same day. I responded to Contest Chest today and received an email thanking me for the personal information and would be sending my money to my paypal account soon. I feel sometimes I'm wasting my time and then stuff like this happens. It keeps me playing (and wasting more time LOL!)

I heard Heartland was a scam site but I'm wondering if I should go back to playing on that site (gift cards for prizes) to see if I win something.

@KristenH Well, Winloot sent me the money the same day, so obviously legit. Contest Chest contests are contests submitted by people like you and me who find them online. But the Contest Chest has their own contest and it is DEFINITELY legit. There is a whole page of pictures of previous winners and the pot goes up if it goes unclaimed.

I do not have the patience and persistence for contests.

I guess I like things that if I do this I get that like being on myLot. If I make connections I earn.

I've become addicted. I can't stop myself. It takes up a lot of time though but I do tend to drop some sites when I don't see anything happening.

@cherriefic I do give up on some websites after awhile if I don't win or if I see the same prizes listed for more than a year. That is, it doesn't even look like they're updating the site. But sites that giveaway books are great. I've won many books from various websites. You can also go directly to authors' websites as some have contests of their own.
