Bowie, refugees, and castles: Questions going through my head this morning

As I head off to work, I have a few questions playing in my mind. Does this happen to you? The first one: How do I feel about the Death of David Bowie of cancer at 69? Mostly it makes me feel sad for him and his family. It also makes me feel old, as Bowie was always in the background during my childhood and young adulthood. I was never a true fan, but I always respected him. The second one: Did the press really under-report the many incidents of robbery and mass rape by "refugees" all over Europe on New Years Eve? My conservative friend says so. But I first heard about it on KCBS News Radio, hardly an obscure source. Does Europe, and Germany in particular, have to admit that they were too "Liberal" in allowing ostensible refugees in from Syria? The third is a little happier: Will the castle I repaired hold up to the kid test later this week? It's done as of this morning. I even found a couple of horses and a little man in a "closet" in the castle, so I posed them for the picture I took this morning. I'll probably take the castle back to the preschool this Friday, when I generally volunteer even if I'm not subbing that day. Do you have questions running through your mind as you soar into the day? If so, what are some of them?

I think that Bowie's passing is sad and I hate to see another great pass. But, it is a part of life. I hope he will rest in peace.

The horses need their tails trimmed :). We have a concert here on Friday so I'm wondering if we're going to get everything done that needs to be done before then. I'm wondering if we'll be able to buy gluten-free this, that and the other as one of the artistes is allergic to gluten. We're off shopping shortly so one question will be answered in an hour or two.

My hunch is that certain 3-year-olds like them that way. Their legs are kind of wobbly, though. I hope you can find the gluten-free stuff.

Oh oh. Did you call to see when it was sent? Late prescriptions don't make me happy.

Life is all about questions isn't it?...There is a Zen saying..."If you want to KNOW the answer,Don't ask the question"...There are no finite answers to Big questions, just best guesses.. As for 'soaring' into the day,not how my brain works, more a slow crawl, as it tries to collect and engage it's bits and pieces

@TheHorse Hmmm... I tend to think you "limp" into your days, on occasion, pony. You do better than a slither, but don't make it to soar, in my opinion... Of course, I can only go by what you say on myLot... Some days your replies in the early morning are thought provoking... other mornings, not quite so much. (You do prefer honesty, right?)

I try to soar. But sometimes it's more like a slither. We'll see how today goes.

Your friend needs a map then maybe he'd see that Germany is not the same as 'all around Europe'.

It happened in other European countries as well. Maybe he's right about the press. The report I heard on the radio was about Germany only.

Thanks. All I did was glue the thing back together. It took some good planning, but the castle itself was thought up and made by someone else.

I am quite sure your repairs will hold up to the children playing with the castle. Whether your repairs hold up to YOU playing with the castle, on the other hand.... (grinning at you!) When I wake up and get ready for work, my mind is on getting ready for work, I don't listen to the news. When I am driving to work, my mind is on the plans I decided on the night before for my day. I may or may not have the radio on. My drive is not that long, so I rarely have time to think about anything else on my drive in to work, pony...... (shrug!) David Bowie was not part of even the background in my childhood or young adulthood.... You are aging yourself, sir!

@TheHorse I am sure you are MUCH older than I am, pony! That old gnarled thing gives your age away just as good as anything else about you! I watched him in movies, but never listened to his music. My condolences for your peer, sir!

We're peers, young man. I never bought a Bowie album. But I admired his creativity.
