No Walking Session For Me Today

Yes, that's right, there will be no walking session for me today. Instead of walking I spent 75 minutes outside shoveling the double driveway plus the sidewalk. I am back in and had my lunch too, but now I am beginning to feel it. But I might have to go back again as it is starting snowing again. What a bummer! I much prefer to walk than shoveling! How about you?

@marlina I am glad I don't have to shovel snow. We have a large yard and my hubby takes a large snow shovel and just sort of pushes a path through the garden just enough for walking and one short path to the garden gate. Sound like you have a lot of shoveling to do.

That's enough to do for sure.

Since I live in an apartment I don't have to shovel, and I am glad. I am not walking outside today either, as it is snowing and blowing.

It wouldn't be wise for you to walk outside today.

Yes no walking for me but it is not often I get to. Did get a good work out spending half hour at least cleaning bathroom and scrubbing in there.

Scrubbing can provide a good sweat and workout.

I would think all of that shoveling would be enought exercise for you/

I had to shovel a small spot in front of my garage door before I backed out of it this morning. I would rather do almost anything then shovel snow!

I would chose to do anything over dusting.

You are better off shoveling the snow! You use more energy, and you get the driveway clear. I think most of us seldom work our upper body, so you are better off than us.

I have problems with my feet so for me a walk means around 4 or 5 blocks at the most

It's okay if you didn't take a walk because shoveling is a good exercise too. At least you moved your body through that chore.

Shoveling is a lot harder than walking.... I suppose you'll probably have to do it several more times now the snow has arrived....

I used to love shovelling especially at night, so calm, so quiet. Now it is more difficult to do for me as I age.

My days of snow shoveling are over. It's too hard on my back & knees to shovel anymore

If there were hidden diamonds underneath, it would be perfect.

Wow, that is a lot of work. I have not shoveled in years. Not sure I will need to here either. I would call it cross training and give myself credit for working on fitness.

We got less than an inch of snow so there's no need for shoveling yet. I will have to brush off my car though before leaving today. Atleast you got your exercise from shoveling.

I have walked only half an hour yesterday and the same this morning. My doctor told me to walk, but in moderation until my knee is not completely fixed.

I've never had to shovel snow before but I think I would definitely choose walking.

pretty sure shoveling is even better exercise than walking at least in burning of the calories.

Usually I prefer walking too. But I don't mind shoveling.
