Alittle early but we were all hungry. She had been cooking it all day in the slow cooker. Pork roast with potatoes and celery. (Sort of a whatever we had in the fridge sort of thing) She put a beef bullion and some chicken soup in it too. It is so good! Meat is so tender and moist when you cook it this way.
Next time I would like to try some barbecue sauce in it instead. This is good but I love barbecue with pork. Smoky Mesquite maybe.
Do you like pork? Roast? Meat?

Yea, it was just a whatever we have sort of thing. Slow cookers are so good for merging flavors.

we had pork stew for lunch. I am not so fond of barbecue, but my son is. I always tell him too, to eat it with rice.

@ridingbet ....Well, I make baked beans in a skillet with peppers and onions. It is slow baked with brown sugar and molasses. I sure like it!

i love it but it doesn't like me a lot. the pork. a couple days ago son fixed beef in the slow cooker and brought me a plate. i was so shocked. lol

I love all sorts of meats, but I have not had any food from prepared from a slow cooker for a while! Pulled pork usually made in a slow cooker is delicious! Very sweet of your daughter to serve dinner for you!

A slow cooker makes the meat tender and savory. You just add some broth or soup and let the flavors merge.

I don't love beef anymore. It's a kidney thing that has turned me away from some meats. I love pork barbecue also and I like chicken barbecue or with A-1 sauce.

Yum that sounds really good. I'm going to try pork chops in the crock pot this weekend with dry ranch dressed and clam chowder soup i found a recipe online.

I love pulled pork sandwiches out of a pork roast that is slow cooked in a crock pot. I use bullion cubes to.

I haven't tried a roast in the slow cooker. The way my gram taught me to cook a beef roast it is always tender and very savory.
