My Cayman Islands Tee Shirt

I have many tee-shirts and sweat shirts with logos, jokes and cartoons on them. I’m so fond of some of them that I keep them until they virtually disintegrate. An exception is my large tee bearing just the words Cayman Islands, as this always attracts the usual question of whether I ever visited them, which I haven’t. This points out to everyone that I am wearing a gift Tee brought back to me by relatives who went there without me. That in itself doesn’t bother me, as I have a few geographical souvenirs of places I never went to. The Caymans shirt annoys me in provoking many to ask me repeatedly about my off-shore tax-haven earnings, as the Caymans have a reputation in Britain as a tax-haven for millionaires unwilling to declare all their monies with the government revenue services. Given the pittance in my bank account and contempt for ultra-capitalism the tee shirt is destined for destruction very soon. Arthur Chappell

Well, at least you are sure that someone will start a conversation. I have been to Cayman Island... I did not like it.

@wiLLmaH I have seen many Caribbean Island that have beautiful beaches, like Cayman. What I completely disliked there was the people attitude and their ridiculously high prices.

Oh you bet @LadyDuck! Residents' attitude may ruin the tourists perspective of their place.

@wiLLmaH Absolutely, they were really rude, like the tourists were annoying them.

Oh, I think you should continue to wear it, just for the conversations it starts. I won't even tell you some of the t-shirts I used to wear, just to get people talking.

I would do the same. Why provoke a question when you don't need to.

O lpve to buy Tee shirts with jokes. Many times I can only wear them at home as I don´t find suitable for a woman my age to go about with some of the sentences written on them

They often make great cleaning rags for some reason. Must be the material.

I think there are some people who collect Hard Rock Cafe T-shirts in cities that have them. They like to wear those T-shirts to show that they have visited many places, though I must say that these T-shirts are very nice too.
