We had a bit of good luck yesterday!

I told you all that my husband got a new golf cart. It seems while he was testing it out Friday evening our neighbor's wife saw him and told her husband about it. The husband came over yesterday morning to see it and find out about the old one.
The old one is a 2002 model and we bought it in 2006, so we got our money's worth out of it! We jazzed it up a little with a horn, flared fenders and fancy hub caps.Since my husband can fix anything mechanical he has kept it in great condition.
The neighbor's brother, who lives in Florida, is looking for one but they are very expensive there. So the two men talked price and the neighbor called his brother and they chatted about it and the bottom line was the man in Florida would think about.
Yesterday evening our doorbell rang and it was the neighbor - he said his brother wants the golf cart. The neighbor will pay for it and take it home until he can take a ride to Florida.
Now we don't have to list it on all the Facebook Yard Sale Groups or stick it on the front lawn with a 4-sale sign and we won't have to haggle and deal with people who what everything for nothing.
It was a good day!
Photo is mine.

Now that is a good deal. It is always much nicer when you have someone honest come to you and want to buy something like that and they will pay much more than what you could get from listing it on Ebay.
I am getting so frustrated. I have a very nice jacket that I have literally had on Ebay for 4 and a half years! I keep relisting it and going way down on the price. I really feel like maybe I should just tell a few people about it like neighbors and tell them the price I really want for it and hopefully someone like that would buy it.

I don't use ebay never bothered with it. I have done very well listing things on Facebook yard sale groups. Then it's only local people looking. I would take it off of there and do as you said, tell people about it. 4 years is a long time to wait.

Yes, and I thought we would only get about $500 for it! the place we bought it suggested we sell it for 1500 which we thought was way too high.

Here we call the golf carts but the 'true' name is golf cars. But most people don't use the word 'car'. Are they popular there?

@AbbyGreenhill They are fairly popular, but people don't really buy them, they just hire them from the golf course.

Easy sale and the buy who bought it has put on big tires and a lift kit and all kinds of goodies and is having a ball with it.

Our neighbor is a good guy and he's also looking for a deal for his bro, and he knows my husband took good care of it...a winning situation for all.
