Here I am, in my favourite, squidgily soft and cuddly chair in Costa. It's FRIDAY! I love Friday ... every day should have a Fri in it.
Seriously? A large mochachochacreamygooyness at this time in the morning? That's not me, by the way; a young man {why do all men start to be young as you get older?} just walked past me. Now the barista blokey has ceremoniously dumped a huge toastie in front of him. Maybe it's his Friday treat, like my skinny hazelnut latte. Maybe everybody should have a Friday treat. Perhaps they already do and my invitation to the Friday Treat Party was delayed in the post.
There are some young women shouting and laughing on the upper levels of the shopping centre. Their noise echos in the quietness of the hallowed shopping cathedral ceiling. I can't cope with such horrid noise. Besides, I have a bus to catch.

You would think the younger ones should all still be in bed. I'm not keen on noise at the best of times ... Some classes I support in get very loud and it panics me a bit.

@poppylicious I went off Costa when they started serving Earl Grey tea in tall glasses rather then in teacups. I've just completed my Friday session in a café doing a lot of people watching and wincing at anti-social behavior such as loud guffawing, and I'm looking forward to my Monday session now.

I like Costa. I'm wary of cafés and Starbucks frustrates me. Costa is just right.
