Sometimes You Want to Say a Prayer

I get tons of stuff in my facebook feed. Some make you shake your head. Or at least they do me. Some I skim right past, they are disgusting. Sometimes they are news, or items of interest that really are not related to me in any way. Many of these items take place hundreds of miles away. Yet sometimes I want to just say a prayer, be grateful and experience the good I see. I just read a news article out of Ohio. A man was visiting his sister and decided to take a different route home than usual, because he heard there was a missing two year old. A child in only pajamas out in the snow. His gut feeling paid off. He found her. She had been in the cold for five hours, and had wandered ten blocks. When he got out of his car she just lifted her arms to be picked up. And I am struck with a feeling of awe and gratitude. He had an impulse to go home by a different way. He was a good person. The child is safe, warm, and back at home after being checked out at a hospital I know nothing about this family, or this man, but I am overwhelmed with the thought of goodness just reading this post.

I've heard about it last night. So glad they've found her, safe and sound. Unharmed, too. Prayers and miracles do happen.

We should listen to our intuitions more. I believe God speaks to us in His still small voice. Glad this gentleman decided to listen and go that different way home. Thankful that little girl is safe and sound. Have a blessed day.

That is such a wonderful story. I am so glad such a caring man had the intuition that he did and went with it. I am glad that the little girl is safe. I cannot even imagine how scared her family must have been. Yesterday as I was laying in bed reading facebook posts I saw that a friends 13 year old daughter has a mole that could be cancerous so she had it biopsied and 30 different doctors are going to be in a meeting to go over the results. Sounds like its something very rare. Its been there since birth but until she his puberty it was so small they never noticed it.

Your heart just goes out to these families. I have not had to face anything like that. I hope the girl is okay with the mole.

We are told that that inner voice or our gut, often knows more than we do. Not sure it is my "gut" but a God given intuition.

This is really a miracle kind of good story GG. It is good to know that sometimes a child is saved. Yes I agree also, many posts are just ridiculous and I too pass by them.

Its nice to see such positive things happen around us. It restores our faith in God and Humanity. Such news items should ideally get more publicity, shares and likes but that is not always the case.

Yes, that was one of my many thoughts. That little one would have gone with anyone, just to be out of the cold. She would not have known any better.

How fortunate for the child he followed his intuition. It sounds like he was led by God.
