Jack Fruits

In a few months' time we will have a bumper crop of jack fruits. We have three trees. Last year that mini tornado had uprooted one of our yielding trees. There is not much demand for this fruit and if the nuns do not take them we will be posed with the problem of disposing them. Perhaps our compost pits will be well fed.
Do you eat jack fruit?

@crazyhorseladycx I have not tried that but we make other dishes out of them. They can be eaten as a fruit. They are sweet and tasty. Their seeds are either roasted or boiled.
You can see the jackfruit seeds here

I like it as a dessert fruit when it is ripe. The taste reminded me of peaches.
I also love it when it is unripe because it is a meat textured vegetable.

@silvermist I have that problem. Nowadays the nuns also do not turn up and so my compost pits get fed.

No, I have never had a chance to. They probably do not get imported here.
