Earn hundreds of dollars with only one post here at myLot!

Sounds like a scam, doesn't it?
But believe it or not, it can be done.
Now, I haven't done it...and neither has anyone else...but it legitimately can be done...and I'll tell you how:
Write the perfect discussion.
One that people can't resist responding to, and liking, and sharing to all their friends, who respond and like it...and share with all their friends...
And you don't ever have to type another word.
I see people stating that 'x' amount of posts will earn you 'x' amount of dollars...but that is not how it works.
The FAQ section says thus:
* How do I earn money exactly? - It's simple... Just participate! Any time you start a discussion, respond to a discussion, or comment in a discussion, you are making a contribution that is eligible for earnings.
* How much can I earn with each discussion, response or comment? - This all depends on how interesting and valuable the myLot community considers it. The more that other myLot users interact with what you post, the more money it will make. If no one reads what you wrote, interacts with it, or otherwise considers it interesting, then you likely won't earn anything.
The last sentence plainly indicates that it is NOT what you are writing that earns for you...the previous sentence shows it is dependent upon what interactions you receive from everyone else.
Plainly stated, the number next to your name, which shows your activity, is no indication of what you earn...some people can make 2800 posts and still not reached $10.
Conversely, interaction from other users has already made payout for me twice.
Getting people interested is the key...don't let misinformation from some users fool you into thinking otherwise.

@JolietJake Exactly, I have decided not to tell them anymore, after all it's their problem.

Nope, they never do, and you can try to tell them until you're blue in the face and they just ignore you

You could have highlighted "... that is eligible for earnings." as well because many people still think 'eligible' means they'll automatically earn something! Ol' Don Bottomsquealer may yet become eligible to be your next President but unless he gets elected when the time comes, he won't make it!

I tried to hammer on 'eligible' meaning you could instead of you will several times, but people with college educations say I am wrong...

True, but who knows the right topic for you may not be that great for others but that should not discourage you from writing. As for being a great writer that comes from experience, the more you write the more experience you gain. I've come across so many writers here whose style is so impressive that even if they write about how mundane their day was, its worth liking and responding to. So gear up and write whatever you feel like discussing.

I guess the problem for serial poster is that.. if they post a discussion and no one respond, they then just go and post another one and hope someone does respond. And if no one respond to that, they then post another one.
It never occurs to them to go and interact with other people's post, so ya, they got caught in a loop, get disappointed and quit.

If it didn't draw your responses, it wouldn't be the perfect discussion

I guess I am more about the interacting than trying to figure out what topic would be the one to bring in the most responses. If someone wants to comment on what I have posted, that's great, if not, that's okay too.

Writing about how to earn money here is also a good way of making a few dollars! But then you are an old hand at this kind of thing. I agree with your advice, we need to write with the aim of giving people something they will enjoy responding to. It isn't easy however because it is hard to thing of anything new under the sun.

@41CombedaleRoad The URL in your browser has numbers...the first number is the discussion #, the second is the response #, the last is the comment #...they count totals posted since the site first started
