I'm Curious About Who All Got Snow Yesterday, or Expecting it Today?

It snowed again all day yesterday, again, in Michigan. Who else got the snow and where else is it expected today?
The forecast for it kept changing, which isn't surprising. At first it was supposed to be 1-3 inches. Then someone heard up to ten inches or so, then it was back down but still 5-8 inches. Eventually we quit listening to the forecast. Since I was done cleaning windows for awhile, [we'd done them Tuesday and last Saturday], I wasn't really watching the forecast.
I went outside yesterday to do some snow removal with our larger snow blower hoping I wouldn't have much to do again, but it continued snowing most of the day. It did quit before they said it would. We heard it would snow until eleven pm, but it quit around 8pm or so est. By five pm, the work I did earlier was all obliterated, so much so that a couple of college age guys came by to see if we wanted them to shovel for us. If I had the funds to do that I'd have gone for it, but since our funds are low right now, I had to decline.
I'm going to try to stay away from here today for the most part. I'm sure I won't be totally successful, but I'm doing laundry and heading out early to begin cleaning off the driveway and sidewalks before the mailman comes, if he does. I will probably do two loads of laundry and clean my jeans if anyone cares about that, @thehorse, @DaddyEvil, ha! (You had to be there I guess).
Then I must do some cleaning and filing and finishing my tax preparations so I can get those taken care of. Then I need to begin saving text I've stored on a website that needs to be downsized. It will never close doors, but I pay a minimal amount per year for storing my work there, and I rarely visit the place anymore.
So, those are my plans for the day, my last day off this week. I've mylotted for the last two days almost non-stop, but I'll see you around the block sometime later I'm sure.
Image coming later after I take one of our snow out there. In the mean time something to brighten your day.

No snow here in Oregon, only rain and windy weather yesterday, and some sun and clouds today. I think we are to get rain later in the day, but for now, it is not to bad out there. In my neck of the woods, we only had a trace of snow all winter, so I must say that it was a very good one here.

@MarshaMusselman No, we don't normally get that much. One winter we had snow that kept us snowed in for a week, and that was a lot of snow. I think, that about every five years or so, we get a rough winter. I hpe it doesn't happen again, next winter, but only time will tell.

But, Karen, do you normally get much snow during the winter months? I know rain out there is common, but I don't know about snow.

@rosekiss Michigan gets a lot of snow, but a large snowfall used to keep Detroit snow bound for about that long too, or at least it was that way once when we went to visit my sister back in the late seventies.

We had sun the day before, on Monday, before it began spitting snow while we were finishing up cleaning windows for a home owner.

I love your bright colors. So neat. No snow here. Sunshine yesterday and supposed to be more today.

Cloudy here right now, but at least it's not snowing anymore. Warmer temps headed our way by the weekend if that's still in the plan, I'm not sure.
What bright colors? I'm having trouble with my image showing on my page, can you see my image on the post, or are you talking about my avatar?
Never mind, after editing twice I finally got it to show up. I'm guessing you were talking about my avatar though, and thanks for gracing my page with it's first comment.

I thought we got another six inches or so after I cleaned off the driveway yesterday afternoon, but it's really hard to tell how much we did get. It was windy here too, I'm guessing six inches all told, but I don't know for sure.

We were supposed to get some snow yesterday but barely got anything. My son goes to school in Michigan and is coming home this weekend for a family wedding. I sure hope he can make it. Now I'm worried.

I'm sure he won't have any problems, since it's supposed to get back in the forties by Sat, I think. Even if he's in upper Michigan, I'm sure the snow removal crews will have the snow off the roads by then if not by today's end.

@MarshaMusselman He is a grad student at MSU so he is in Lansing. That makes me feel better I just want him to get here safely. He has about 250 miles to get here.

Well I sort of expected that California and possibly a few other states near you wouldn't get this snow storm we just got. In fact, I talked with someone in Idaho this morning and they've not had much snow all winter.

Our snow is almost completely melted now, Patsie. I wouldn't expect too much snow where you live unless you were in the mountains.

Hi! Just started following you here on myLot. Signed in and saw that you liked one of my discussions from last year that I forgot I even started. Thank you so much. A nice way to introduce yourself. Happy to meet you.
Regards the snow … no snow in Austin, Texas. This has been the warmest winter ever! I wouldn't even call it winter. I call it weird! Of course, this city's slogan is “Keep Austin weird!”

@MarshaMusselman - Oh yeah! I was on Bubblews. The old Bubblews and the new Bubblews. It's quite possible I may hold the record for having had my accounts deleted more times than anybody!
Don't know what I was doing wrong but my accounts were flagged as spam and deleted without warning. Wondered if I was "special". Me no care. Wasn't my site. Moved on. Ultimately everybody had their accounts deleted. Now I feel "normal" like all the other bubblers who got screwed over.

@cmoneyspinner Maybe you held the record, but I knew of a few others that got deleted and would start fresh again. I was thinking of Casper, but maybe he deleted his on purpose sometimes too.

Were you on bubblews? I sort of remember your name, but not so much your avatar. It's easy to miss activity especially since they delete notifications after they are a week old. I'm surprised that you even found that.
El Nino is really wrecking havoc on everyone's weather; I enjoy the warmer times though.

@MarshaMusselman You are right, there's been very little snow in England. (We came to Spain yesterday).

I knew you'd be in Spain eventually, Janet, but I didn't realize you already went. I don't think there was much in your country either this winter it sounds like.

We've been having beautiful sunny skies and the highs have gotten up to 70 degrees (F) here several times this weekend and beginning of this week. The forecast here calls for a high of 71 degrees (F) today with an overnight low of 48 degrees (F).
It seems like it is time for me to start clearing my flower beds and harvest some of the tallest bamboo for fishing poles... (People have been buying my bamboo for fishing rods for the last three years... Pretty nice at $10 a cane! They are tall enough to get a heavy rod and a light one that bend but don't break...)
Nice to know when "yonks" has passed, Marsha! LOL!

I was surprised when horse passed on that one. Where is it you live again if you don't mind saying? I know you grew bamboo, but I guess I thought they were house plants not outside for fishing rods. Nice side income. We may get temps into the sixties here next week, or so I heard, but if it gets too warm the trees will sprout and we could still get a heavy frost into April yet.

You never get snow there, right, Reine? You're too close to the equator for that. We'll be getting rainy weather here once winter is over and maybe while winter is still hanging out. We can have rain any month of the year and for days on end.

We had a blizzard watch last night, supposed to get up to 30 centimetres of snow. We didn't get near that, so were surprised when we woke up this morning. Right now it is cold and very windy, so what snow did fall is blowing around. Another nice day to stay in.

Did you get a lot, or just a slight dusting? I know that a lot of time, some countries on that side of the pond will get similar precipitation t what we just got recently.
