myLot have special set of characters you can add to your posts or comments to give it a life.
If you're happy then show it by using "[ em ]happy[ /em ]" (
).
If you're being naughty with your comments, at least make them know through these little visualizations like "[ em ]rasp[ /em ]" (
) or "[ em ]evilgrin[ /em ]" (
).
Commenting in just plain text is dull. That's my opinion. That's why i tried my best to put some emoticons in every comments/replies.
By using emoticons, you can see/express part of your emotions that you want to deliver through your comments/replies. You might be saying "I Love You" and all of us would assume that your emotion is
,
or
. But to you, your "I Love You" has its sad side. So better show it through
or
.
~~~~~
"You lose!
" is different from "You lose!". I find the statement "You lose!" as "You lose!
" or "You lose!
"
~~~~~~~~~
Additional: The bold, italicize and underline are also part of myLot code. Use this to emphasize words or statements.

I know there are some users here, like @vandana7, @daljinder, @DaddyEvil, and @purpleblaster that love emoticons. Generally I am happy with the traditional smiley :-) or
but am not a big user of the others.

@Daljinder Oh! I have gotten it a long time ago.
I cannot see all the expression on the emoticons when I am reading the text though.

we are not traditional @pgiblett. We have broken all boundaries of sanity even...
Haven't you gotten it yet?
And to think you were in cahoots with us.

I use them a lot
With people I know well and have known for years on here I can say a lot with those characters
With people I don't know as well I'd use them less as they are less able to interpret the meaning than people I know well.

I'm a big fan of the emoticons here in myLot but I do my best to limit my use of these. When words fail, emoticons can help!

I use emoticons for almost all of my posts. I love using them, as they express how I am feeling at the time. Of course, one can over due and use to many, so I just use about two or three of them at the most. I do think they do liven up any post though.

Yes, I usually use the emoticons when I am writing on here. I love them.
Way back when myLot paid before, we used to be limited to three emoticons per post be it a discussion, comment or response. I love that we are not limited in that way now. Unfortunately, the bold, italics and underline do not work the way they are supposed to work at the moment, though, because we cannot embed them, which means we are limited to just one of those at a time.

@trivia79 All the ones that are available now are the ones that were available back then as far as I can remember.

i think you should.
putting emoticons in most comments is like eating a dish with savory flavor. without it, it would be tasteless
