Your chance at winning $1000!

...by taking this survey at WalMart.com says the saleslady. $1000??? Yeah, I could always use some extra cash. So this thing's been sitting on my desk for a day now and I decided I needed to do it before I forget. Now, the lady had handed me a slip of paper with my receipt...something about 'your chance to win' yada yada yada, but I hadn't really looked at it until now. It has her name printed on it...cool, I didn't know it, and I'd like to say something about her, because she's a nice lady. Then I see this sentence in the middle of it that says 'Rate me a 10 for Fast & Friendly!' Un...I was going to...but after seeing that, I don't know. I might just give you a seven...or a five...or lower. You see, I think that particular sentence is being just a bit pushy. Now, if it said 'Please rate me for fast and friendly service', I'd give her the ol' 10. After all, she is efficient, and always friendly. But it doesn't even say 'Please' and almost screams 'Rate me 10 you (expletive deleted)!' But I don't want to rate her low...and these are slips that they are supposed to pass out are printed by the company...they just print their name next to 'cashier' on them. So what I really want to do is rate WalMart a big fat negative 2,674 for being a pushy greedy corporate (expletive deleted), but I don't think I get that option. Maybe I just won't take the survey after all...

I always conveniently forget to take those surveys. Winning would be great - but eh - seriously what are my chances of winning? The other day when I went to Walmart, the cashier actually told me to please take the survey and I could win XYZ as always. But she had this bright orange post it note with her name on it and whatever else it said on it - and she tried to staple it to the receipt. She had a hard time stapling and I just wanted to leave. So I told her I'd just take it as is - and I did - and oops, in the parking lot the wind blew her bright orange note away. Oh well, guess I couldn't the survey now.

If Walmart has a Facebook page you can express your opinion there. It is very possible they are going to delete your message, but you can try.

I get the pushy person at the Dollar General telling me to give her store a good rating. She gives me the receipt and said there is a survey you can take and could win $1000. Yay, like that ever will happen. Then she tells me to rate the store high because their ratings are low. Well, keep the shelves stocked, keep the floors clean, and how about smiling and treating the customers better.

I am sure she is forced into asking this although I can see how that would get old and fast! I always do the surveys on back of receipts only for that small chance in winning something. I try to say something nice about employees only if I have something nice to say though (sadly not always the case)

Just looked at it online...5 winners will be chosen over a three month period...better chance of winning a thousand bucks playing scratch-off lottery tickets

That might be best. I hate to have demands made of me when I am doing them a favor. Walmart has a bad rep. It is sad that iit is convenient for me to do my shopping there and they have the monopoly on the department store end of things in my neck of the woods

I will very, very rarely take those surveys. All they really want is more information about you.
