Where are the thanks to all the other members here?

I keep seeing posts how 'I made this much today' and 'I made that much yesterday' and so on and so forth...well, good for you.
The only problem is, you didn't make that.
You received that, sure.
But that money was made from other people that are replying to/liking posts you wrote (remember, a post means discussion/response/comment...not just a discussion).
Without those people, you wouldn't have received a penny.
So please...take a break from patting yourself on the back, and give thanks to the other members, who are making your earnings possible.

So many users still are of the opinion they are getting paid for what they do themselves...

thanks thanks thanks to all of you. I actually feel like the best thank you is to visit some of their posts as well.Oh, and to respond to their comments. I am not sure I made anything today.

I've noticed many times that if I respond to someone's post, suddenly they respond to one of mine...which is fine...but I'd rather they visited one because it drew their attention, not as reciprocity. But then, I always pull the ones I respond to from the 'Most recent' list, I never visit profiles to find them

That was a good comment ... I agree :) I, for one, am not worrying about the money ... I'm just honored when someone comments back to me ... it does mean so much to me. :)

I stopped 'worrying' about the money long ago...I know it'll take care of itself as long as I am here communicating back and forth with people.

What gets me are posts where people refer to this site, or sites like this, as their job. I actually do not know if there are a lot of posts, currently here on Mylot, in which the poster does this, because I do not spend a lot of time here. However, on the old Mylot, (from a few years ago), and on Buublews, I frequently saw posts where the poster (adults, not teenagers) talked about the site being their job, and even stated that it was their main, or only, source of income.I don't get that. First of all, I would not, by any means, consider anything we do on this site as a job. Of course there are online jobs. For instance, one could be a virtual assistant, or one might have a job as a web designer, or you could legitimately earn a living online as a web content/article writer (And on that last one I mean by writing articles for another person and earning a set sum of money for said article), just to name a few. But, this is not a job. Secondly, if a site such as this one is your only source of income, how do you survive on that? Surely you don't receive enough money here to pay rent/mortgage and utility bills on a regular basis? Or do you live in your mom's basement? Seriously, what gives? LOL

I hear/read a lot of references to 'working' at myLot. I come here to communicate...work is the furthest thing from my mind.

I really do not think that no matter how long you try to help people to understand the concept they will. It is too foreign and unlike most sites online. It will be very difficult for them to see it.

Someone posted 'there is no reason to thank anyone'...I have to seriously disagree with that statement, for one thing, it is lacking in good manners

@JolietJake I have to scroll down to find out who posted this comment.
I respect her opinion. Here in my country we teach our kids to always say "thank you"..."salamat po" or "daghang salamat" in my own native language as a sign of good manners. Having good mannered kids reflects on the good manners of the parents.

Oh thank you so much sir!!!
It's because of you and members like you only that I have not crossed even a percent of the required amount, that too in so many months! Inconsequential that I write seldom and when I do, it's utter boring rants.

You tell em! Start the trend! (You are welcome for my small contribution). I dont start the earnings posts unless Im excited about some other site thatIve earned something on and want to hear of everyone elses experiences. I dont start them for MyLot though - seems a little redundant. I mean, we could theoretically post them every day with an update on our earnings (ie- Hurrah! Made 15 cents today!) That would get a little old.

For the most part, I don't talk about it, unless someone is asking what people can earn here, then I'll tell them how I do. I also try to tell them *I* don't actually do it.

I really don't get the point of talking about how much money you have made. No one is going to get rich writing here and for most of us the money is not the point.

Where are all the "thank you" you ask? I stole them all and hid them.... Find them if you can....
Because even this post wouldn't be sufficient enough for "some" people to utter those two words.
So live in the false belief that they had been stolen.
