That's really a beautiful scene, and your window glass looks great too! I think I should have stepped out more in the morning. I usually wake up in the early morning, before the sunrise, and start hiding myself in front of the computer.

That is very heart-warmingly beautiful. I remember the picture that you posted while you were away, but there is really no place like home is there? I think that this picture shows that. Our front door faces westerly, so we see some pretty light patterns as a result of the etching in the glass when the sun is low in the sky or setting.

It is a beautiful piece, and I remember your other lovely photo. In Florida we get the sunrise over the water and can see it from our bedroom or lanai. At home, we can see the sunrise from our bedroom, master bath, two bedrooms, two family rooms, front door, and living room. We rarely miss it unless we are sleeping.

That is an amazing thing to see. We watched one while camping. Everyone camping came to the bridge over the river, the ranger closed the bridge to cars and a couple hundred of us sat on the bridge with all our children and watched the moon hide the sun. it was awesome.

@PainsOnSlate i wish more places'd such'n place. sure'd save lots'f lives 'n property damage. i hear ya'n the sunset/rise thingy. seems to be a toss off. i get 'em here only if'n i venture outdoors due to how the house's situtated'n the property here. well worth it nearly e'ery time :D i'd sure love to 'ave me a stream out back'n some forested land...ah, the feelin' 'f bein' back'n the mountains tugs't my heart these days. big hugs!

I never gave it a thought when we bought this house. We bought it because of the privacy in our small town because there is government green space (a forest ravine for hiking with a stream (water shed to prevent flooding) that will never be built on...ever.... And then we noticed the east sun and the west sun set. We only get to see the sunset when the leaves are off the trees but we love the forest...
