Yesterday I wrote about our awful move but now I have to let you all know just how happy we are right now. First I will say that Louisville, KY is a really beautiful place. Everything is already green here and the trees are budding. We have so many great restaurants, all kinds of different places to shop and overall a lot more to do than we did when we lived in Jonesboro.
It was so nice to wake up yesterday morning and sit out on the balcony while drinking my coffee. We have a gorgeous view. There is a robin here that is huge. I've never seen one so big before. At first I thought it was a pigeon or a rabbit on the ground because it was so big. It seems all the birds are pretty good size as well as the squirrels. I also saw two enormous birds flying around and I thought they might be either eagles or hawks. I found out that they were falcons and they have a nest in the woods that are right across from my balcony.
Although our apartment is smaller than the one we had before, it feels like home to us. Our previous apartment was for student housing and it felt just like that. It never really felt like home there and we didn't have a balcony. I love the privacy of a balcony. And now I can have all kinds of plants and flowers.
I haven't been this happy in a long time. I know in my heart that we made the right decision to move. Although the move was the worst I have ever been through, it is now all worth it.

Bella always adapts pretty well as she has been through a lot of moves with us. For Bella, the worst part is all the packing. It gets her a little stressed with all the boxes and wrapping and stuff but she is fine now. With Daisy being a puppy, she has only known our other apartment as her home. It's been really scary for her but she is coming around a little more each day. She is still right by my side all the time and I call her my little shadow...lol.

I have really missed not having flowers so I an super excited about the balcony. We do plan on doing some site seeing as soon as we can. My brother had his first day at work yesterday and he loves his new job. This was the right move for us.

That is just what counts, that everything is good now that you have moved.

I am glad you are so happy with your new home. It sounds amazing especially your balcony. How wonderful it is to be able to relax outdoors while enjoying your morning coffee. I love the picture of the Robin. Glad you have a lot of birds around your neck of the woods. I love bird watching too, and have several bird feeders, bird houses and birdbaths.
