Today is 'National Napping Day'

Well, a 'holiday' that many of us can take advantage of. Not that I particularly take naps on purpose, but I do take several accidental naps during the evening. So, what is National Napping Day all about?
First of all, it is the first Monday after the weekend you move your clocks ahead for Daylight Savings Time.
With all the complaining about missing out on that one hour of sleep over the weekend, someone came up with the bright idea of starting National Napping Day to make people feel better. It gives them 'permission' to goof off I guess!
You all have permission to go take a nap - they say it's good for you! I'll be taking mine later this evening while 'watching' TV.

I am not much into algebra - now if it was pie day that would be different.

I had a little hard time adjusting to the time change, so I will be napping today.

Yes, I just saw an article trending on Facebook that said it was National Nap Day. Some days I may take a nap, but most days I don't.

I prefer to sleep at night, which I don't do very well.

@AbbyGreenhill I always fall asleep around 9:30 pm in front of the TV, the best place to sleep.

Not a bad idea, though it is a rare thing that I nap during the day. We had some neighbors over last night and it went later than expected. A reading nap later might be a good idea.

So you pretend to read while you nap? I do't take a nap on purpose - I sleep so poorly at night I don't date try to sleep during the day.

@AbbyGreenhill I don't sleep well all the time either. If I am tired and relax with a book, I am likely to fall asleep.

@AbbyGreenhill I test my husband by asking him questions. He always replies on something that happened before he lapsed into his rest period.

I can't stop laughing over the picture! I'm sleepy today but only because I couldn't get to sleep last night and I had an early morning appointment today. Time for my second cup of coffee and a snack and that should get me going again until dinner time! :)

I slept all day Monday as I was sick with stomach bug so that's my excuse for participating in national napping day.

I stayed awake watching TV - that was a first for me (in a long time) and it paid off - I slept 7 hours last night.

I always like an excuse for a good nap. My last one was learning that great thinkers like Winston Churchill and Thomas Edison took naps. A national day for it is even better!
