My Plans Have Gone Awry

I've said it before and I'll say it again: "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." There is a reason why some people put off making plans - they know they will fall apart.
I am on a spring break and planned on getting as whole lot of writing done. Guess what. I haven't. I have barely gotten two sentences done in the past three days.
Unfortunately my body decided it needed a rest so I have been sick for the time. Fever, cough, runny nose, you know, the whole business.
At first I was not too thrilled but then I decided that I would go with the flow. I have gotten a whole lot of rest and hopefully, now that I am beginning to feel better, I hope to get I a whole lot of writing.
What about you and your plans? Do they fly out the window often the way mine tend to do? Or are you able to follow through?

I tend to over plan and I know it, so it is really frequently that my plans go awry. I also have experienced that when my high stress job took a hiatus, or spring break came along, I gave up and got sick. Prior to that I would have been busy "staying healthy." I hope you have had a true benefit from your extra rest.

@GardenGerty It does happen that way when you have stress is your job. I should have taken that into account. Being in a small room with middle school children all day trying to impart knowledge isn't exactly a walk in the park. My body does tend to give me a bit of a problem when I am allowed to relax some.

I have to chuckle at your opening statement. I believe that God has a hand in everything and that your plans changed because that's what should have happened. He just set it back on track. Maybe to slow you down a little.
