Boredom

Do you feel bored? When does this happen? Is it when you have too much work or when you do not have any work at all? Do you get bored if you sit at home throughout the day and do you long for a change? Personally I do not like the word ‘boredom’ because it is within our capacity to stay bored or not especially if we are normal and healthy. People who are sick, have health problems cannot be included in this. Bore is not an enemy to attack us from the outside but it is just a feeling of frustration from within. What do you think?

I usually feel this way in the winter when I haven't accomplished very much and feel a bit guilty about it. My depression is worse in the winter months and I don't feel real motivated or energetic.

you will all have very chilly winter sisn't it? Ours being a tropical place and especially the place I live does not have a veyr cold winter. It is just moderate . This year there was no winter worthy of the name.

boredom strikes anywhere anytime. sometimes i cant do anything about it but lie still and let it pass. then make it up the next day.

I do sometimes feel bored. There are just times, when I'm sure what to do. Although thankfully, for me, I have three kids. So they do keep me busy for the most part. I don't have a lot of time to be bored.

I do feel frustrated many a times, due to so many reasons. Bored? yes at times, specially when I find that there is almost nothing for me to do and I have to literally find out something that would keep me occupied.... I am so restless

For people who have been doing something or the other all the time, it is difficult to sit idle even for a short while.

When I am online I am never bored, that is not one of the words, that i use I have so much, to do here online, I don't have time to be bored, my day is full of work when I get online, I have to figure out how long i am going to be online, and how much work, I will get done for that day.

Getting bore depends on person him/herself. There are plenty of things to do so one cannot get bore by sitting idle.I feel bore when I left with the works which I am not interested in to do.

Yes. sometimes some tasks become a drudgery and if they have to be done day in and day out we can get bored.

@kalav56 also when one has to do the same work again and again daily becomes the cause of boredom that's why at workplace there should be job rotation.,

We have become so dependent on internet isn't it.? I too feel lost without internet. I won't say ' bored' but it makes us slightly helpless. All addictions to technology.
